Compare and contrast.

Dateline: 2006. The Dark Days of Bush.

China and Russia are actually helping us at the U.N.

Can’t be Bush’s doing, You won’t find his name in the article. So who convinced the Chinese and Russians to not oppose our moves?

The action on Iran was the culmination of months of efforts by the United States, as well as Britain France and Germany, to ratchet up the pressure on Iran…

Typical. Can’t be that Cowboy Bush.

Fast forward to 2008, nearing the end of the Bush Regime’s Reign of Terror.

Russia is intent on mending ties with the U.S. once President George W. Bush leaves

Yeah. The funny part, people believed that.

So then we have our Overcharge…uhhhh…Reset Button.

So how’d that work out for us?

Russia on Wednesday sharply dismissed calls for further sanctions against Iran

Hmm, not so well. I wonder whose fault is it.

Certainly not Obama’s

There’s a short list of Obama being all diplomatish with Russia and this.

Those moves came amid a pronounced warming in relations between Moscow and Washington,

So what’s going wrong?

which now seems to be ebbing amid political shifts in both countries.

Oh, then it’s not Obama, that’s probably being caused by them tea partiers and obstructionist Rethuglicans in the House.

So whose fault is it?

Oh c’mon, we all know whose fault it is.

Several comments raised the concern that the report’s release could set the stage for an attack on Iran. A lawmaker with United Russia, the ruling party, on Wednesday compared the United Nations report to the flawed intelligence reports promulgated by the Bush administration in the prelude to the 2003 Iraq invasion, which asserted that the Iraqi leader, Saddam Hussein, had been developing illicit weapons.

This “in many ways reminds me of what happened several years ago in Iraq,”…

Okay, that’s funny.

Another bit of comedy is how nobody’s mentioning that the Age Of Obama was supposed to get the world on our side and yet, we’re largely irrelevant on the world stage these days. People ignore us because they know they can.

Although they might want to rethink that strategery for the next couple months. Obama is not above getting involved in a war to up his poll numbers.

  1. Lemur King says:

Veesh, you’re kidding right? Obama? Diplomatish?

Our mildewed dishrag stuck to old fishsticks under dishes of sour milk in the sink has more diplomatic skills than Obama. The man’s idea of a meeting of equals is bowing to them, and then he toadies up to them. He’s either crafty or a paper tiger with the spine of warm gelatin.

There. I had to be critical of something. That was the low-hanging fruit.
