I’m sure a lot of folks have heard about the adult film condom requirement recently approved by voters in Los Angeles county.
Here’s the part that caught my eye:
The measure requires adult film producers to apply for a permit from the county Department of Public Health to shoot sex scenes. Permit fees will finance periodic inspections of film sets to enforce compliance.
That’s right — LA will be hiring porn inspectors.
How’d ya like to hand out that business card?
On the plus side, we’ll have a bureaucracy whose job it is to make sure there is porn. If they do half as well the ‘poor’ bureaucracy, porn will be around for a long time.

A friend of mine used to work for a town here in North Carolina as a Code Inspector, and as part of his job he had to do periodic inspections of strip clubs.
There’s strip clubs in NC, and then there’s Strip Clubs in NC. If they don’t meet your standards, lower your standards.
