The face of horror

I can’t figure out how to embed the video smuggled out of North Korea posted here, so I’ll just link to it.

While the latter two thirds show some interesting signs of discontent, it’s the first part that just breaks your heart, watching a young woman foraging for fucking grass. Her face is utterly expressionless as she describes what can only barely be described as her “life.”

I may as well use this post to recommend a book I just finished today. The Black Book of Communism probably isn’t for everyone, seeing as how it’s more than 750 pages long (and that doesn’t include the footnotes) and is a more or less scholarly look at the crimes of communism written by European academics and researchers, but it’s a fascinating look at the crimes against humanity committed by the Red terrorists who have always claimed to represent “The People” over the last century.

Watch the video. Sadly, it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

I guess I should dig my copy out and finish it. I’ve only read about a third of it, but I should prolly just start over.

I should drag all those little hipster, commie, fuckknuckle douchebags from Colorado College that I see wandering aimlessly about downtown in their flip-flops and tie-dyed t-shirts and force them to watch this.

    Then take their lunch money.

LinkTV (the Hate Amerikkka-channel, they carry Democracy Now! for instance) had a documentary about some opera group that went to NoKo for a cultural exhange and they found a bustling country where everybody’s happy and a Deer Leader who’s well loved.
    Oh, and democracies are poopy-heads.

I really wanted them to have to stay there for a year of grass-and-neighbors-grandma soup instead of a whirlwind 7 days or so of carefully orchestrated trips.
