Our Minitru is pretty stupid, inept and smugly ignorant, funny in other words. You don’t often get the endy without the funny at least.

Minitru is populated with people who are some combination of lazy, stupid, ignorant and biased, so hilarious ineptitude is pretty much a given.In today’s exciting episode, the AP has a story where a guy asks Obama about high gas prices and, quote

“Obama needled one questioner who asked about gas prices, now averaging close to $3.70 a gallon nationwide, and suggested that the gentleman consider getting rid of his gas-guzzling vehicle.”

However, if you go there you won’t see that quote anymore, you will see a fairly heavily edited piece with no note that it’s been edited.
Luckily, Insapundit has a screenshot of the article you can see at the first link showing the quote. Of, you can do a search for …“gentleman consider getting rid of his gas-guzzling vehicle” obama… and see all the hits leading to that article, except that quote was edited out.
Our Minitrue’s memory hole doesn’t work nearly as well as Winston Smith’s.  They don’t realize the intertubes is forever.

Dammit, I just realized it’s spelled “Minitrue”. Oh well.  I haven’t read the book in a long time. Why bother? I avoid reality tv too. I prefer escapist fantasy, not the how-to guide for our social, moral, intellectual and political betters.
