Well at least they are learning something…

Students at three Seattle high schools have apparently been using key-loggers to steal network passwords and possibly alter grades.

They may not be learning, math, science, or any of the other important stuff but at least they are learning how to lie, cheat, and steal, and well that’s something.

I am reminded of Clueless after Cher presents her father with her new grades after she’s argued them up “Honey, I couldn’t be happier than if they were based on real grades. “

They most likely learned a lot more from the hackery than from any class they were stuck taking. So of course the school will put them to work teaching the teachers about computers. Ahahahaha, that’ll happen.

One of two things is happening… either the students are morons (and not the good kind) for only using a keylogger that requires the USB device to be present to work, or their “IT professional” is an idiot for thinking that’s how keyloggers work. I can install a keylogger on a computer, and have it EMAIL me the results. I don’t need a damned USB device that I have to go retrieve to do this. And I love the fact that the teachers need to contact IT to change their passwords. I was under the impression we were in the 21st century here and all knew basic computer operation. Guess I was wrong.
