Stuck on Stupid

I know bribery is popular in ultra-liberal circles to keep kids from acting poorly, but Joy Behar has taken things a bit too far.

In other words, STFU Joy Behar.  Any member of Al Qaeda would gladly kill you as an example of what’s wrong with America.

  1. Jay in Ames says:

The idiocy is strong in that one.

  2. fozzy says:

In Joy Behar’s universe, there is nothing more important than a 7 figure book deal. It just doesn’t occur to her that the jihadis might be sincere in their beliefs, terrible as they are, and not take a payoff. Behar would sell her mother and become a libertarian for that deal.

“Say what you want about the tenets of radical Islam, Dude, at least it’s an ethos.”

  3. ogre says:

I remember back in public school, the worst teachers were the ones that tried to be the kids’ friends and bribe them into behaving. The best teachers were the ones that put the fear of God into the little bratlings. Good behavior and the occasional learning followed, whereas the ‘friendly’ teachers wasted everyone’s time on negotiations and trying to get things under control.

Ever been stuck in public in the vicinity of some yuppy dork parent negotiating with their rotten little spawn? When my kids were little I’d go over to the other parents, often within earshot of my kids, and tell the failing idiot parents ‘my kids pulled that tantrum crap exactly one time.’ The yuppy dork parents never understood, and their annoying little monsters never behaved.

Didn’t Machiavelli say something about it’s good to be liked but best to be feared? Or maybe that was Marty McSorley, I forget.
