Herschel Greene’s barn

That’s what the police need to turn this into. (Note – I am not advocating the resolution with the barn on those filthy hippies, and I’m not going to say any more about that above the cut, but below the cut I hope youse guys join me for some speculative discussion.  So SPOILER ALERT, dammit.)

H/T Treacher.  Or maybe he’s over here.

Does anyone think Herschel didn’t know that Sophia was at least possibly in the barn?  And how the FUCK do you rationalize that?  People are out getting hurt and out getting almost dead, and you’ve got the resolution to their quandary locked up nice and tight.  Even if you don’t want to reveal the barnful of creepitude, couldn’t you sneak out there at some point and wrangle her by the neck out of the barn so she can show up and everyone can stop looking for her?  Is it really that worth it to save her single life and risk the lives of everyone else in the party while they’re out playing in the forest?  And if Herschel were really that concerned about getting them off his fucking lawn, wouldn’t finding Sophia in whatever condition she was in make the group pack up and leave that much more quickly?

Yes. This makes me think Herschel really didn’t know she was there.

I agree, Herschel didn’t know she was in there. Glenn and Shane both looked in, and neither one noticed her. I’ve got a couple theories on Sophia. One is that she snuck in the barn to sleep, and oops, zombiefied. The other, that she was put in the barn, alive, by someone evil. I think Merle is actually still alive, so he’s my candidate for that.
