Contrary to what Daniel Patrick Moynihan said…

Nina Totenberg believes she is entitled to her own facts (via NewsBusters)

NINA TOTENBERG, NPR: You know, Newt knows how to play this game. And as Charles said, he is in his own backyard, right next to Georgia, and he is incredibly glib. It doesn’t matter that, you know, that there were more people on food stamps under George W. Bush. It doesn’t matter that his suggestion is that minorities are the ones who get food stamps, that far more white people get food stamps. It doesn’t matter that working people get food stamps in order to feed their families. Facts don’t matter to him and it makes for great, it makes for great talk.

Ooops:

Food-Stamps-Yearly

Oops again:

According to the USDA, 35 percent of SNAP recipients are white. That means that 65 percent are minorities or are of unknown race or ethnicity.

To paraphrase Ranier Wolfcastle – “The facts, they burn!!!”

Listeners to National Pravda Radio are already in the obama camp. Nothing she says will affect anyone who isn’t already voting dhimmicrat.

I also suspect that within the next few months, the official number of food stamp recipients will magically be reduced. Perhaps by removing those on the program longer than, say 1 year.

Places like NPR, MSNBC and the NY Times aren’t in the business of providing information, they provide affirmation.

They’re basically Stuart Smalley telling them all they’re smart and just doggone good.

For clarification in my OP, removing = no longer counting them., not heartlessly tossing them off of the chuck wagon

  2. I made the mistake of watching “This Week with Georgie Demomouthpiece” yesterday.

It was like watching political analysis from another dimension.

FrnakJ linked to a tumblr thread on the best comments about Andrew Sullivan’s Newsweak article about how Obama’s critics are stupid.
Some of the comments were making fun of it, others were actually calling the article “brilliant”.

      And they were serious!

      It’s freaking hilarious.
      8. richard bacon (BBC Radio Fivelive presenter): In case you missed the Andrew Sullivan essay I Tweeted yesterday. A rare (and bloody good) level headed piece on Obama:

Har dee har har. “Level headed” in the sense of “he used a plane to level his head below the frontal lobe”.
