This article is pretty funny. (Warning, Daily Beast link, they publish He Who Shall Not Be Linked and of course, the Twat).

It’s about how if the Supremes rule against Obamacare, it’ll hurt Romney more than the God-President.

The first paragraph sets the tone. I’d like to do a good, old-fashioned fisking of the whole thing, but it’s too long and far too stupid.

Everybody is speculating about what the impact on President Obama will be if the Supreme Court strikes down the health-care law. Understandable, since the law originated with him. But it got me wondering: what about the impact on the Romney campaign? I haven’t read a word about this, I suppose because it’s generally assumed that any crushing defeat for Obama (the conventional wisdom on an adverse high-court ruling) is a moment of ecstasy and mirth for Mitt Romney. But it isn’t necessarily so. A ruling against the law, depending on its scope, has three possible effects. It takes a massive campaign weapon out of his hands. It forces him to answer a key question he has so far not had to answer. And finally, and it has the potential to put him on the defensive since he will have to align himself with an obviously political and unaccountable Court majority.

Heh. I like the last three sentences.

No, it doesn’t take a “massive weapon out of his hands”, Romney can’t really run against Obamacare, it’s really just Romneycare writ large. It takes a huge negative off his hands. All he has to do is say, “I won’t be implementing it” (I know, that’s far-fetched, but I’m an eternal optimist and I’m hoping the House won’t let it happen again, since the GOP has a House majority mostly because of Obamacare)

As for “forcing him to answer a question”, no. It allows him to avoid the question of whether he is against it anymore. Because he flubs that question every time.

Now we get to my favorite part in the first paragraph.

And finally, and it has the potential to put him on the defensive since he will have to align himself with an obviously political and unaccountable Court majority.

Yup, the “Political and unaccountable Court Majority(TM)” that just happens to agree with most of the country.

They’re working hard to try to convince people that Obamacare is just hunky dory and those darn, evil conservatives (with their War On Women) are thwarting the will of Teh Peepul.

Or perhaps, they’re just trying to convince themselves. I really don’t understand why lefties do what they do.

Next we get to this little tidbit

By the fall, I’m guessing, if the ACA is overturned, the media will be demanding of Romney that he explain how he’s going to make sure people with pre-existing conditions can get reliable coverage.

I don’t think it’ll take until the fall, I’m sure Journolist is already on the case. Of course, they’ll hammer him over how he wants people to die no matter how he answers. Hopefully he has an answer for these questions.

Just because I don’t understand how lefties can think doesn’t mean I don’t know what they’re going to do. They’re really quite easy to predict.

The OUTRAGE!!!!! will be pretty funny as Minitrue viciously attacks Romney over this when he actually is for Obamacare, he just wants to “Fix It”, but now he’ll be saved from himself.

No good lefty rant is complete without showing he believes that Teh Peepul are idiots who need benevolent masters to make the world clear to them.

If the Democrats are doing their job, voters—and perhaps especially independent voters—are going to realize by the fall: “Hey, wait a minute, we didn’t quite know repeal meant that people with pre-existing conditions wouldn’t get coverage.”

Fool. Democrat voters will be outraged, independents will say, “Wait, you mean I can’t just wait until I break my leg to get health insurance to cover my broken leg? Ummmmm, duh.”

Takers who demand more of others’ stuff won’t be swayed, they’re already voting (D), independents who work for a living and are sick of the takers taking their stuff are not going to be surprised.

It goes on and on like that.

I can’t tell if it’s someone saying “Lalalalalalalalala” with his fingers in his ears, if it’s someone who’s trying to convince independents or if it’s just the first shot across the bows from our fine friends at Journolist.

Or all three.

I kept writing “This is my favorite part…” but there are too many to really say which is my favorite. Like this bit

But if a negative ruling galvanizes the broad left and focuses its collective mind on cogent arguments that appeal to swing voters,

Bwahahahahahahahhahaha. “Broad Left”? You mean the occupiers, the race-baiters, the unions or the teachers unions?

“Collective mind”, eh, I would have said, “Hive mind”, but the meaning is the same, so good for him.

And as for this “cogent arguments”, ummmmmm, what? “We want free stuff” is about all they have.  People who are swayed by that silly nonsense (those who don’t agree with TANSTAAFL) are not “swing voters”, they’re already voting Dems.

I’d say “Read the whole thing”, but really, they don’t deserve the linky. I only clicked because I was bored when I saw the headline at Hot Air and thought we needed a new post.

Who wants to be a millionaire?

Posted: March 30, 2012 by Sean M. in Liberal FAIL

It’s apparently quite simple. Just ask Gov. Jerry Brown (D, CAndyland):

Brown also defended calling his proposal a “millionaires tax” on his initiative campaign website, even though the income threshold would be $250,000.

“Anybody who makes $250,000 becomes a millionaire very quickly if you save it. You just need four years,” Brown said.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I seem to have driven my palm straight through my face and into the back of my head.

I Like It Hot!

Posted: March 29, 2012 by veeshir in Hotassery, L.L.A.P.H.

This article seemed to have lots of words in it, I didn’t catch much but the pics and this line

The sale also includes a rare calendar with a picture of a naked Monroe on it.

Alas, that pic isn’t included, but really, Marilyn is so hot you don’t need to see her nekkid.
Not included, but Marilyn in this dress was the cause of me starting puberty
Bigawdamit, doing an image search for Marilyn Monroe is one of the more awesome searches there is.
Via Wyatt, who left off stalking….uhhhh….. following Christina to stalk…..follow a big-tittied, full-bodied hottie.
Hmmmmmm. I think I’m seeing  a pattern.

But They Still Publish Ted Rall

The rejected Dilbert cartoon, pretty darn funny. I don’t know his policy on stealing his work, so I’m not posting it here. Sorry, you’ll have to click.

This seems like  a good place for my favorite rejected Far Side cartoon.

That’s in the “Prehistory of the Far Side” book. I miss that comic and, of course, Calvin and Hobbes.

About a year ago, I had my first encounter with an uncircumcised penis. I should add that there was a man attached to the penis…

Well, that’s a relief. I mean, it would have been awkward if there had been a chick attached to it. Which is to say…um…I’m pretty sure that would have been awkward. Like, if you weren’t really expecting it to be…down there.

Stop judging me.

I have to admit, I’m not sure if this is good or bad.

According to a Minitrue poll, half of all Americans have an unfavorable view of Romney (Wash Post link).

According to another, enemy of Minitrue poll, roughly half of all Americans have an unfavorable view of Obama. That number keeps going up and down, but hovering around 50%.

That makes it likely that half of all Americans will dislike our next president.

On the one hand, that shows that people are learning, but on the other hand, who are the half who like those tools?

Above The Post, Wildey, Update From 8/5/2017!!!!!
Wildey is open for business! I ordered a mag and it came on time and well made!
I haven’t bought ammo, but they have it too!
now, back to our post!

For those who don’t know, the people who make the Wildey have ceased activity. The website is still there, but emails bounce, the contact page gives you an error message and they don’t return calls when you leave a message at the phone number provided. It sucks, to say the least. They were the only ones who made Wildey ammo. They went belly up shortly after I got mine and when I tried to get more ammo in 2010, they were gone. That sucked to say the least. Every now and then I would search for Wildey ammo online. I found one website that makes only round at a time. Not sure what their deal is, but they didn’t return emails, found another that claimed to load it but they also didn’t return emails. Occasionally Gunbroker has some Wildey ammo for sale, it usually goes for $4+/round. Pass. I just didn’t feel like spending well over $200 for 50 rounds. I, and everybody else with a Wildey in .475 Wildey Mag were screwed.

Until now. I found this site last year and sent them an email. They didn’t respond for a long time and I didn’t really try all that hard. I just didn’t really trust some random Tripod website. The guy returned my email after a month or more saying he had forgotten about it but he was planning on reloading Wildey ammo starting soon and he would let me know as soon as he got a line on some brass.

I was still a little leery but figured it was worth a shot. I had his home address (to send him my ammo disclaimer which stated I could buy ammo, every online ammo place needs that), I also had his home phone number.

When he was ready he sent me the list of available ammo and I went with Hawk bullets, I almost went with the cheapest ammo in case I was going to lose my money, but it said, “Best for single shot, might not cycle the action”. So I went for 100 rounds of 300 grain Hawk Precision JSN/AND/FP/FB.  (jacketed soft nose/auto nose design/ flat point/flat base).

It took a month and a half and I was starting to worry. They said there was a problem with the bullets, not the brass surprisingly enough.

But it came last week. 100 rounds, with the brass stamped “Wildey Magnum”, just like the stuff I got from Wildey, the only difference was flat nose instead of hollow point.

I went to the range today and it worked great. I had cleaned it last week so I had to readjust it to get it to cycle properly, but I had 10 rounds left of factory ammo so I know the problem wasn’t the ammo.

As soon as I got it adjusted properly, it worked fine. It fired all six rounds/mag with just an occasional stove-pipe, no more than once in 3 mags. That was pretty much how it worked when using Wildey ammo and the stove-pipe was probably from me limp-wristing it. I haven’t been to a range in a long time and I haven’t fired anything stronger than .45ACP in a real long time so I wasn’t used to the bigger gun. It goes BOOOM!

I heartily recommend them to anybody who has a .475 Wildey and is sick of it being a safe queen. The price is not bad, it’s about the same as .500 S&W, just over $2/round delivered. If you wanted ammo for less than $2/shot, you shouldn’t have bought a Wildey.

So for all you folks out there looking for .475 Wildey Magnum Ammo, I can say that American Custom Ammunition worked great for me.

Updated 3/2013: You should call them at the number on their site, they don’t answer emails very well but they answer the phone in the evening Florida time or they’ll call you back shortly. They will then get right on it and they’re still doing their thing 3/2013.

They get the Veeshir Seal of Approval (shown below the fold).

Much like the previous attempt, the Paul Ryan budget proposal has once again been haughtily dismissed by the usual suspects.  It’s rather depressing, actually.  As several commentators have pointed out, the Ryan budget is hardly extreme.  Rather, it’s pretty close the absolute bare minimum necessary to avoid sovereign default, and doesn’t even balance the budget until something like 2040.  (That’s assuming that no other unexpected expenditures pop up over the next couple decades… like a war or something.)

Translation: we’re boned.  So sayeth the holy prophet, Mark Steyn:

It is faintly surreal to be sitting in paneled offices lined by formal portraits listening to eminent persons who assume the collapse of the dominant global power is a fait accompli. “I don’t feel America is quite a First World country anymore,” a robustly pro-American Aussie told me, with a sigh of regret.

More prophecy:

There’s a famous exchange in Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. Someone asks Mike Campbell, “How did you go bankrupt?” “Two ways,” he replies. “Gradually, then suddenly.” We’ve been going through the gradual phase so long, we’re kinda used to it. But it’s coming to an end, and what happens next will be the second way: sudden, and very bad.

On a related note, Ruger is out of guns.  All manufacturers sales are through the roof once again, and Ruger’s stock is up tenfold since Obama took office.

And as if the Obama bureaucrats had nothing better to do than mess with us, a National Highway Transportation Safety Agency rule might make your car GPS unit almost totally useless.  The maps won’t be able to continuously update while you are driving.  You know, because it’s too distracting for you to have some clue about where your turn is.  Hooray, nanny state!

Best Of Joan Leaving The Room

I don’t feel like trying to figure out how to embed the vid, so you’ll have to click to Wyatt’s to see how Mad Men doesn’t cut away when Christina leaves the room.

I did notice that, from behind, she looks a lot like the Martian chick from Mars Attacks!.

Since I know you windowlickers don’t click links, here’s a taste

Edited for a stupid grammar error.

Update at the end, ugly update, linkage I saw at Ace’s.

The deal with that kid who was shot in Florida is getting out of hand.

Minitrue is bound and determined to provoke a race war. I can’t figure out why. I mean, I know why Jesse is saying things like ‘Blacks are under attack“, he hasn’t been in the news for a long time.

Why is Minitrue trumpeting the race-baiting?

Is it just because they like the story line and are too fucking stupid to realize what they’re doing? This seems most likely, never impute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.

Do they really think it helps Obama? “Vote for Obama to prove you’re not racist. Again.” This is stupidity but with a touch of malice. If there’s one thing I know about our fine betters in Minitrue, it’s that they’re stupid and angry.

I don’t know what the deal is, I do know it’s not going to be pretty. The guy who did the shooting needs to go into hiding pretty soon. Somebody’s going to do something ugly.

Saw the Jesse story at Gateway Pundit

Update, also seen at Gateway Pundit our fine friends at the New Black Panthers have put out a Wanted Dead Or Alive poster for that guy.

This is not going to be pretty.

Update: The New Black Panthers have offered a $10k bounty on Zimmerman’s head.

And when asked whether he was inciting violence, Muhammad replied defiantly: “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”

The bounty announcement came moments after members of the group called for the mobilization of 10,000 black men to capture Zimmerman,

Holy fucking shit. That goes along with their “Wanted Dead or Alive” posters. Think of that.

They need to be arrested quickly and very fucking publicly. That’s a recipe for the start of some serious violence.

Holy fucking shit.
