They Just Hate Christianity

Posted: April 7, 2012 by veeshir in Filthy Hippies, It's Science!

I was raised Catholic, I went to Catholic school from 1st grade to my first year of college, but I don’t believe anymore.

However, I don’t hate Christianity. For that reason, I never watch anything on the History Channel or Discovery or any other “science” channel about Christianity because they can’t keep their contempt hidden.

Case in point, I saw this headline at Hot Air headlines “Was Jesus Happy?”

First, that’s a stupid question. He wasn’t about being “Happy”, he was like anybody else, happy or sad or mad or depressed or….

So I had to click to see the deal, of course the “study” had nothing to do with Jesus being “happy”, it had to do with how Americans and Koreans saw him.

Americans are more likely to associate Jesus Christ with positive terms such as “love” and “amazement” compared with South Koreans, who are more likely to associate the founder of Christianity with words like “sacrifice,” “blood” and “suffering.”

What does that have to do with “Happy”?

But that’s not why I’m writing this, it’s because of this bit

How cultures perceive fables, fairytales and fictional characters can highlight interesting differences in cultural attitudes,

You know, fuck you. They just have to throw in a bit about the Sky Fairy. They can’t help it.Just because you don’t believe he was God doesn’t mean you have say he’s a “fable, fairytale or fictional character”. That’s just rude.

They’re not atheists or agnostic, they just hate Christianity. They make me look bad with all their hate and obsession, that’s what pisses me off the most.

I gave up on the History Channel after seeing in ‘Cromwell: God’s Executioner’ a comparision was made between the massacre of 3500 at Drogheda (1649) with Abu Ghraib (terrible mistreatment but no murders).
