Harry Reid is making noises about changing filibuster rules and this Op-Ed is apparently the Convention Wisdom.
The most dramatic impact of the Reid Plan will be with regard to the Supreme Court
So Obama can nominate far-left justices.
Gee, without the filibuster he might nominate an anti-1st amendment justice who’s in favor of stifling “Hate Speech” who will refuse to recuse herself when ruling on a law she helped implement or a Wise Latina Woman who rules as a Wise Latina Woman instead of what the Constitution says.
Moh-Rons.
I will say one thing, I’m all fer it.
While it’s absolutely unnecessary considering the spineless GOP tools who are afraid the Wash Post will call them names, as the Puppy Blender says,
Such a move would seriously undercut the Supreme Court’s legitimacy, but I doubt they care.
They care not at all, but the more blatant they are in their disregard for the rule of law, the more likely Teh Peepul will notice. Even FDR had a problem when he messed with the Supreme Court and really, who’s going to retire? Lefty justices. I doubt even Obama could find someone more reliably lefty than Ginsburg, although he’s proved he can find justices who are idiots.

President Obama’s former top budget adviser thinks his old boss has lost leverage for the budget battles to come
Ummmm, which budget? The one the Dems won’t even propose?
