I Believe Our Children Are Our Future

Teach them well and let them lead the way.

(And people wonder why I hate the 80s)

Today is a good day.

I was subbing in a class today. I do makework when I sub, many subs are totally useless so that’s the way it works.

I make it clear at the beginning of the class I have a rule, be quiet. If you can’t keep quiet, we’ll move on to “no talking” so they talk quietly and I roam the class seeing if there are questions, asking them questions, calming them down and just chatting.

So this class today started talking about Obama wanting to take their guns and then they started making fun of our First Worf.

I had to leave the class for a second when one girl said, “Have you noticed that in her Nickleodeon commercials against obesity she keeps getting fatter?”

And then I get home and Rand Paul is filibustering the nomination of the head of the Cox Skybomber Armada, asking Obama if he thinks he can kill me (spoiler alert: He does), over and over and over and pointing out how they keep avoiding answering or ambivalently answering it in a way that seems to show he does.

Now he’s talking about how we should notice treason again!

Woo-fucking-Hoo!!!!!!!! That’s fucking awesome.

He’s doing the filibuster the old-fashioned way, not the “civilized” way where they say, “We’re going to filibuster this so let’s just drop it.”

I prefer this way. Especially since some people (I’m looking at you Minitrue) are going to have to report Rand Paul’s question and Obama’s refusal to answer.

That’s a good way to get around their moat around the President.

At last. Something to be hopeful about. Kids that aren’t completely brainwashed yet.

These kids were all bashing Obama and the first Worf. It was freaking hilarious.

I kept my mouth shut and kept myself from laughing except when that girl said that. I had to leave the class, the door leads to a courtyard so I went to get a drink of water outside.

I won’t talk politics, religion or abortion in a school, it’s not why I’m there.

I think people have been noticing treason again, and most of it is coming from the hill and 1600 penn Ave. apparently though its only considered treason if you disagree with the Dimwits in Washington.

    First Worf ROFL Love it.

  3. I sub in middle and high school. Since I’m certified, there have been times when I’ve been called to teach a class for an extended period of time, so only when politics is actually part of the topic do I discuss it with kids. Out of the mouths of babes….

I’ve done it long term too, mostly they agree with the leftists teaching them. I was in Maricopa when Joe Arpaio was being reelected, if I had said I like him they would have torn me limb from limb.
      This school had different demographics.

I don’t usually us anybody’s nicknames, but I always use Gorequemada (used to be Goracle, before that it was the Gorebot) and the First Worf.

I think they’re both despicable and should never be treated in any way but with contempt.
