We’ve been seeing a lot of people scratching their heads and wondering why our self-proclaimed “Elite” are so fucking willfully-ignorant.

Like Ace and Nicole for instance.

Well, FrnakJ explained it all in a scientifical analysis of the left almost 10 years ago.

Most people stop at formal operational thought, but there is a lesser known fifth stage(3) that some reach and become trapped in called postoperational thought. This is when one’s mind becomes so overtaken by navel gazing and hypotheticals completely divorced from experience that his or her mental acuity now operates barely above the senorimotor stage. It’s a special state of stupidity that only the most intelligent can reach. To give an example, let’s say there is a tree lying in one’s path. If it were a simple creature approaching the tree, such as a dog, it would walk around the tree, not knowing of any other option. But, a very intelligent person in the postoperational thought stage could, using his vast intelligence, explain away the existence of the tree and walk right into it. A great intellect is required to be that dumb.

RTWT, it’s funny and spot on.

Rape: Funny and Endy!

Posted: September 20, 2013 by veeshir in Funniest End of Civilization Evah

While there’s not a lot of humor going on (I mean, it’s sort of funny watching Obama’s Smart Power Team get their clocks cleaned over Syria, but that’s a lot scarier than funny), the FEOCE Strikes Back! and Eric is there to document it.

A female tutor is on trial for statutory rape of a 15 year old boy, but there’s a twist.

by claiming she is the one who is the victim of sexual assault by a 15-year-old student.

Flint-based attorney Michael Manley questioned the now 16-year-old boy in Grand Rapids District Court on Thursday, Sept. 19, and while the teen said he never physically intimidated Simon, he still forced her to have sex after she repeatedly rebuffed him.

Manley made sure to make a point that the teen athlete is 6-foot-3 and weighs about 220 pounds, a clear contrast to the petite 33-year-old former tutor and school aide.

Under questioning by Chief Assistant Kent County Prosecutor Christopher Becker, the teen’s most frequent response was “I don’t remember” and the boy admitted that he had no desire to see this case come to trial.

“I didn’t want anything to happen,” the teen said as his parents watched. “I don’t believe anything should happen.”

Eric then opines

Can there be such a thing as mutual rape?

I find myself forced to wonder whether it might be now possible to be a rapist and a victim of rape at the same time.

Don’t get me wrong, that’s not funny.

But it is.

Apparently the Sun is still messing with us.

Predictions that 2013 would see an upsurge in solar activity and geomagnetic storms disrupting power grids and communications systems have proved to be a false alarm. Instead, the current peak in the solar cycle is the weakest for a century.

First, I don’t know if I believe their, “100 year low”. We have not had good measuring devices for 100 years, only for the last 30-50 or so, so anything before then is guess-work based on what we would call shoddy data today.

100 years ago tolerances of 100th of an inch were extreme, today, machinists say, ‘Tenths” to mean “one ten thousandth of an inch” because that’s the standard and it’s easier than saying “one ten thousandth” all the time. For precision measuring instruments the tolerances are ever tighter.

So in other words, 100 years ago the margin of error was at least 1,000 times greater than today. (edited to make sense)

We also had crappy telescopes 100 years ago, they didn’t have the resolution or all the deluxe filters and computers looking at the data. You put a dark piece of almost opaque wax paper over the telescope and looked at the Sun and wrote down your findings on paper, Computers can look directly at the Sun and filter it out without any human even looking at it until the data is all crunched. They might have seen two sunspots at different times and thought it was the same one or they might have seen one sunspot 4 times in different stages of its rotation and thought it was 4. They just couldn’t track them the way we can today.

Saying that, it’s still darn low. In 2010 I said that by 2012 Al Gore would start talking about the coming ice age caused by global wormin…climate change. I’m wondering if I should have given them a couple extra years. If it happens by 2015 I’m calling that a win.

Scientists keep saying, “Any day now the Sun will restart and watch out!” and yet, the Sun keeps not restarting. But they authoritatively state what’s going to happen.  I’m waiting for them to start saying the Sun has shut off and WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!! right before the Sun restarts.

And that’s why I don’t watch science shows on cable. They keep authoritatively stating that such and so is FACT!!!!, when they don’t really know.

40 years ago dinosaurs were cold-blooded and slow. No caveats, just stated as a fact. 20 years ago they became warm-blooded and fast.  Again, no, “This is what we think…” but “This is what is…” I’m hoping in 10 or 20 years they become mammalian precursors to the platypus, and that’s why they laid eggs. That’ll be funny.

Salt is good for you, bad for you, good for you, bad for you……Eggs are good for you, bad for you, good for you, bad for you. All stated authoritatively.

In today’s politicized science climate, you can’t even trust them to say what’s actually happening, much less what’s going to happen.

Update, I forgot the part about the title, so I’m sticking it in here later.

Let’s get that ozone hole bigger*! We need the heat!!!

*I still think the whole “freon makes the ozone hole bigger!!” was bullshit. The ozone hole fluctuates naturally and getting rid of freon only made our A/Cs less efficient. Which was the whole fucking point. Green Science is neither, its goal is to reduce our standard of living.

They’re like the monks in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, walking around hitting themselves in the face with boards. Except they hit me in the face instead of themselves.

How About A Fucking Budget?

Posted: September 18, 2013 by veeshir in GOP FAIL

Quoth Boehner.

The speaker confirmed his plan to bring a continuing resolution to the floor that funds the government and defunds Obamacare.

Yeah, but how about passing a fucking budget? I understand that Minitrue will butcher it, but if you spend all your time letting Minitrue set the terms of the debate you’ve lost.

Pass a fucking budget you assholes. I’m sick of the CRs that are really just bloated fucking budgets that totally don’t have earmarks or deficits because only budgets have earmarks and deficits so, by definition, CRs can’t have them.

QED, ipso facto, carpe scrotum.

As for “shutting down the gov’t” when the Dem-run Senate refuses to pass a budget, whenever you speak on camera mention that you’ve passed a budget and the Dems haven’t. Minitrue will try to spin it, but you can get your word out.

But then, we all know you assholes don’t want to pass a budget. You like your earmarks and deficit spending far too much, need to buy you them sweet, sweet votes.

Like the rest of the GOP establishment  David Brooks doesn’t like Ted Cruz.

Case in point

Brooks insists that Ted Cruz’s motives are less about legislation and policy and more about the politics of undermining the Republican Party establishment

I’d be fer it but that’s not what’s going on, he’s trying to do legislatively what he was elected to do, they’re fighting him.

In other words, if you reverse what Brooks wrote, you’re spot on.

The GOP establishment is busy hating on Tea Partiers and the pols we elected.

Look at the vitriol directed at Rand Paul by Graham and McCain as he tried to get POTUS and his thugs to say they didn’t have the right to kill me with their Cox Skybombers.

It’s funny, the “Base” is supposed to suck it up and support the GOP no matter what, but the GOP gets all angry when a pol tries to do what their fucking base wants them to do.

We’ve been watching it for years, Boehner, McConnell, McCain, Graham and the rest of the GOP douchetool “leadership’ hate Tea Partiers more than Nancy Pelosi does, she uses us for fund-raising while we have the bad manners to expect the GOP actually live up to their supposed values.

I metioned Graham, you know what that means

little lord graham

A bit of water

And, of course, the federal government is here to help.

Because if we were to help ourselves, by, say, flying drones over the flood areas to create damage maps, that would be bad.

In the wake of the recent floods in Colorado, Falcon UAV has spent the last three days providing volunteer aerial services to the Boulder County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the Incident Management Team (IMT).  On Thursday afternoon while all National Guard aircraft were grounded due to weather Falcon UAV was proud to have been the only aircraft that was able to take flight to support the flood efforts in Lyons.

Early Saturday morning Falcon UAV was heading up to Lyons to complete a damage assessment mapping flight when we received a call from our Boulder EOC point of contact who notified us that FEMA had taken over operations and our request to fly drones was not only denied but more specifically we were told by FEMA that anyone flying drones would be arrested.

A certain cob-logger may or may not remember driving through the town of Lyons on the way to Estes Park a few years go. Lyons is fairly well destroyed*, and the road that we drove up to Estes Park is closed indefinitely; there’s some doubt as to whether Highways 34 and 36 will be able to be repaired before snow prevents further work.

Of course, the WBC is planning on picketing Boulder because the fags brought the floods upon Colorado. What their rationalization for Weld and Larimer Counties, two of the most conservative, God-fearing counties in the state, flooding, is beyond me.

*The third picture is the garage of one of my fake pretend internet friends. I offered him the use of my sump pump when I heard his house had flooded, when I saw that picture I realized how absolutely ridiculous that was.

Yeah, it’s satire and old.

So sue m….DPUD.

I’ve put the post below the fold, here’s an example of Obama’s Smart Slack Power!

Via Are We Lumberjacks (he never answers that question, it kind of pisses me off)

I know, I know, it would much be easier and less time consuming at this point to list the things that are right with California, but my home state provides provides an instructive (read horrifying) look at what happens when the Democrat party and its allies are allowed to run things without any real opposition. For instance:

In 2012, the Assembly considered a bill making it easier to fire teachers who sexually abuse students. Consider for a second that word “easier” — should anything be easier than simply firing somebody who molests children? The bill was written in response to the case of a Los Angeles elementary-school teacher who was fired after being accused of sexually abusing his students, and who challenged his firing. Rather than act in accord with the horrifying details of the case, the school district paid the teacher $40,000 to drop his appeal. That’s small change compared with the $30 million settlement the district is paying to the teacher’s alleged victims as a result of the case, or, for that matter, compared with the $23 million bail requirement that is keeping teacher Mark Berndt behind bars as he awaits trial on 23 felony counts of gruesome sexual abuse.

Against that background, making it easier to fire teachers facing credible accusations of sexual abuse seems like a pretty straightforward proposition. But the California Teachers Association and other unions presented a united front against a bill passed by the state senate, and it died in the Assembly.

There’s ever so much more at the link, but you might want to skip this one if your blood pressure is on the high side. I suppose the only silver lining here is that it’s going to be a bit of a stretch for anybody to blame this shit on conservatives, though I’m sure there’s some way they can bitch about this being a consequence of Prop 13, which is the default response among our state’s lefties whenever they manage to fuck up public education even more.

Pivotally Moronic

Pivot is new a channel I’ve seen on DirecTV. It shows stuff I don’t care for and Farscape.

I kept seeing commercials for this during Farscape and it’s starting today.

Update, put the youtube vid of Meg McCain’s show below the fold because it started autoplaying on me.

“Sinful Colorado, floods are your punishment”

I think “Sinful Colorado” may replace “Colorful Colorado” as the state marketing slogan.

Screencap below the fold in case Craigslist takes the hilarity down.
