So There’s A Deal

Important, Mitch McConnell says Fuck You Veeshir update below.

Not sure what the deal is, but I am sure it’s a win for the We’re Better Than You Party (establishment Dems and GOP).

My problem with the whole “fight”?

Boehner had no strategery and folded on the first on day but Obama didn’t want a fold, he wanted the shutdown.

So what was Boehner’s point?

Why do I have the feeling that the We’re Better Than You Party engineered this to attack and try to discredit  tea partiers.

Of course I’m paranoid, but am I paranoid enough?

Interesting/illustrated post on the shutdown. Not sure who Katharine McPhee is or what she has to do with the shutdown, but she surely looks hot.

Lemur King gives us a link talking about a provision where the next vote has to be against increasing the debt ceiling, not voting for an increase.

Sure that’s pretty slimy, but nothing compared this shit sandwich via Gateway Pundit.

default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project….

that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion.

See what I mean about CRs? They’re larded up with earmarks and deficit spending but since they’re not budgets, they don’t have earmarks and deficit spending.

Cuz they think we’re idiots.

  1. Lemur King says:

No, veesh, you ain’t nearly paranoid enough.

Rather than hew to to the Constitutional tendency to limit government and to make it a majority to approve things, they slipped in wordage to make it require a majority to stop it at all, making it very difficult to enforce a debt ceiling. Yes, it only applies to the next vote but it shows how scheming the Republicrats really are.

I am not sure if it has to be kicked back to the reps to do this but it is an ominous thing to have happen at all.

    Vote out the incumbents.

  2. veeshir says:

What I can’t figure out is why they even bother having a debt ceiling anymore.

Why not just make it unlimited?

Stop this pussyfooting around, let’s get to the collapse.
