Okay, this is just hilarious. You know, in an infuriatingly, red-curtain-of-blood way.
So there was a part of the Healthdebaclecare.gov site that would actually show people costs without requiring an account.
The window shopping feature allows website visitors to compare health insurance plans without opening an account, verifying their identity or determining whether they qualify for a federal subsidy
So why isn’t it in the “finished” version?
That successful test, noted in documents obtained by CNN and confirmed by a source close to the project, contradicts testimony from an Obama administration official overseeing HealthCare.gov, (yeah, there’s a lot of that going around lately V) who told lawmakers earlier this month the function was scrapped because it “failed miserably” before the October 1 launch.
The funniest part? They said that with a straight face.
Think about that, as the unhelpful, tea-bagger types were trying to get them to delay this shit, they knew it wouldn’t work and the only part they did delay was the part that worked!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I earlier had a past wondering if the site not working was malice or incompetence, I was leaning toward incompetence because the alternative was too fucking paranoid, I now have to go with some nefarious, commie-single-payer malice.
So once again, even I am not paranoid enough.
Jeebus. Does that mean that the gov’t does have space based mind rays and Kucinich was our only hope?
