I heartily approve.

US Suicide Bomber urges fellow Americans to join jihad in Syria.
Then he blew himself up.

The State Department confirmed in May that a U.S. citizen from Florida launched a suicide bombing against Syrian government troops earlier this week. Moner Mohammad Abusalha of South Florida was identified as the alleged suicide bomber in Syria, according to the New York Times. Abusalha was from Ft. Pierce, Florida but traveled to Syria late last year with a group of Americans.

Moner Abusalha had a facebook page.

I have to admit, I’m in favor of jihadis blowing themselves up killing state-sponsors of terrorism.

Since the Syrian civil war changed from Teh Peepul yearning to be free into a jihadi free-for-all, I’ve been happy about them killing each other in horrible ways.

Now to have an American jihadi going to Syria to blow himself and some Syrian gov’t thugs up instead of trying to do that in America? Well, that’s my favorite kind of some.

Don’t forget, before our fine Minitrue betters were lying for Obama and Hamas, they were lying for Saddam.

For example, in the mid-1990’s one of our Iraqi cameramen was abducted. For weeks he was beaten and subjected to electroshock torture in the basement of a secret police headquarters because he refused to confirm the government’s ludicrous suspicion that I was the Central Intelligence Agency’s Iraq station chief. CNN had been in Baghdad long enough to know that telling the world about the torture of one of its employees would almost certainly have gotten him killed and put his family and co-workers at grave risk.

 

You see, they needed access, so lying for Saddam gave them access. They never seemed to question whether the “access” was worth the lies. Recall also that Foxnews left Iraq without explaining why. But they’re Fauxnews and CNN is all good and shit.

Keep that story in mind when you read stories about Hamas.

Hell, even Foxnews, and not just nitwits like Shep, are saying stuff like, “Israel says that Hamas is using human shields. Meanwhile, a brazillion civilians died in Israeli rocket strikes” without noting that it’s Hamas giving the world the “civilian” casualty numbers and who killed them.

A little primer on who’s killing who that I’ve seen in a few places this morning.

The media immediately took the Hamas line that it was Israeli missiles. Later, the IDF stated that it had not fired on those locations, and that the explosions were misfired Hamas or Islamic Jihad missiles.

The media played it as he said, he said.

But an Italian journalist has just left Gaza and is telling the truth about what happened now that he needs not fear Hamas retaliation — Israel was right (h/t Israelly Cool):

 

The media is so used to lying against people who believe in individual freedom and responsiblity that they no longer care who they’re lying for.

I will say that my paranoia is getting worse. Even our fine, ignorant, minitrue betters are noticing that Obama’s fecklessness and retirement is not helping the world stay peaceful.

Whenever minnitrue notices something that makes their God-President look bad, it’s after it’s become insoluble.

Which brings up impeachment, does anybody think things would be better if he were impeached? President Joe Biden (wrap your head around that) would keep the same people who are actually running the gov’t in place so we’d lose a retired president to get one who’s well into Energetic and Stupid

During my insanely long commute to work (and a little in the mornings at work before my phone starts ringing off the hook), I’ve been listening to podcasts to keep my brain from completely turning to mush.

I use and recommend the BeyondPod app for Android.  A few months ago I upgraded to the premium version, which I feel was well worth it.  Now I can queue multiple downloads and can adjust the playback speed. I generally listen at 1.1x speed.

For better or worse, here’s my current list. Feedback greatly appreciated.

  • Ace of Spades – (weekly for the most part) – The best part of waking up on Friday.
  • Coffee and Markets – (daily podcast) – Suffering from a dearth of Ben Domenech, but still pretty good.
  • Ricochet – both the “flagship”/namesake one, and GLOP.
  • AEI’s “Banter”
  • Econtalk
  • Uncommon Knowledge
  • The Tim Ferriss Show – Author of the “four hour” books.
  • The James Altucher Show
  • Freakanomics
  • Mark Levin Radio Show – Sporadically when I think ML might have special insight into a topic, or the show title grabs me.

I just added “Mad Dogs and Englishmen” to my queue and will be trying that out tomorrow. I also have the TED app, which allows TED talks to be downloaded. Don’t use it too much, but have been meaning to.

I’d throw up links, but (1) it’s probably just as easy to search from your podcast app and (2) I’m lazy.

Given my areas of interest, I am reminded again of why I have no friends.

The Suspense Is Killing Me

What’s going to blow up first? Seriously, things are accelerating out there. I know I’m a doomsayer, but that’s just my learned behavior.

Not much endy today, just a few chucklers as I’m trying not to pay too much attention, I want to be surprised.

So as the EUnuchs are frowning at the Russians over murdering some of them, this

Ukrainian nationalist leader Dmytro Yarosh has been placed on Interpol’s wanted list at the request of Russian authorities. According to the notice, he faces two charges “by the judicial authorities of Russia” for “public incitement to terrorist activities involving the use of mass media” and “public incitement to extremist activities involving the use of mass media.”

 

That guy was in charge of people who kept the previous Ukrainian tsarling from murdering the protestors who were against returning to SSR status so you can pretty much assume the “extremist activities” are “resisting Russian aggression.”

I have some stuff to do later so I’ll probably/possibly update this post, but I have one thing to say.

Whenever someone compares how Ronnie Raygun handled the last time the Russians shot down a commercial airliner to how Obama has (not) handled this time, all Obama’s defenders keep saying, “Reagan didn’t speak for 5 days!!!!!!!!!!”

 

Flight 17 was shot down 11 8 days ago and Obama still has not said or done shit.

So what did Obama say about this act 5 days after Tsar Putin I’s Cossacks shot down a plane? I don’t feel like checking but I have a feeling it involved golf and fundraising.

I checked and here’s his statement.

Obviously, we’re all heartbroken by what’s happened.  And this is an opportunity for me to extend on behalf of all the American people our deepest condolences over the loss of family and friends; to express our solidarity with the people of the Netherlands, with whom we’ve been friends and had the deepest ties for centuries; and to assure the Dutch people that we will work with them to make sure that loved ones are recovered, that a proper investigation is conducted, and that ultimately justice is done.

Bentivolio versus the Chamber

Striking a bold move, Michigan Congressman Kerry Bentivolio returned his Chamber of Commerce award.

Daily Caller:
“If you notice, they call it the Spirit of Enterprise award, not the Spirit of Free Enterprise Award,” [Bentivolio’s chief of staff Rob] Wasinger told The Daily Caller via email. “Crony capitalism is alive and well at the Chamber of Commerce.”

Naturally, the Chamber now supports his opponent.

Just in case you were confused about who the good guy is here, Bentivolio has quite a respectable conservative report card with an ACU score of 88, a Club for Growth score of 88, and a Heritage Action score of 83.

As previously discussed, the Chamber is also attempting to primary Justin Amash, who sports even more impressive credentials with an ACU score of 89.22, a Club for Growth score of 99, and a Heritage Action score  of 89.  The Club for Growth has explicitly endorsed Amash in the primary.

For a long time the FEOCE was pretty much just going staying steady state, things weren’t changing. 2 months ago I could have taken a post from last year and posted it word for word and link for link and nobody would have noticed, even if this was the kind of blog where people clicked the links and read the posts.

But now? Things are changing and it’s not getting prettier.

Ebola in Sierra Leone is being mostly ignored and it shouldn’t be.

 

A doctor in charge of an Ebola treatment center in Sierra Leone has been admitted to hospital after contracting the deadly virus himself, the health ministry said Wednesday.

The news comes just days after three nurses from the same facility died of the disease, which has killed hundreds of people throughout west Africa and continues to spread.

That can’t be good.

All manner of diseases are spreading in new and horrible ways, like MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) may be airborne. That means you don’t need actual contact to get it. That’s how plagues get really bad.

Of course, the way things are going that’ll just make the rubble bounce.

America has lost all respect in the world.

An unusual screening process occurred involving Kerry and his State Department team as they were subjected to a metal detector before meeting with President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi at the Egyptian presidential palace.

 

That’s not about security, it’s about a calculated insult to the representative of America. A competent Sec State would have said, “Fuck you.” and walked away, but Kerry is anything but intelligent or competent. Think, Joe Biden with better hair and a richer wife.

Russia is showing that, what with Obama calling for people to RESPECT HIS AUTHORITAH!!! and Putin laughing at him.

China is noticing the New World Order and getting more and more assertive in the South China Sea.

China’s unyielding commitment to gaining control over contested territory and its disdain for subjecting itself to rules that put it on an equal footing with much smaller states mean that hopes of successfully negotiating a binding CoC (Code of Conduct…to ‘promote peace and stability in the region.’ V) are illusionary.

 

Expansionistic, murderous commie dictators tend to act murderous and expansionistic. I was reading a book, I forget which one, and they noted that China is not really commie, they’re and industrial fuedalistic society, which misses the point that that’s what commie dictatorships always become no matter how much they mouth commie pieties.

There is one ray of interesting out there.  I use Lebanon Now! because they’re generally much more trustworthy than the any American outlet, so that makes this even more interesting.

Fast-forward to ISIS and the unfolding tragedy of Iraqi Christians. The uprooting and destruction of Christian communities in Iraq has sent shockwaves through social media and throughout the world. What is particularly infuriating about the tragic fate of Iraqi Christians is that they had remained neutral in the ongoing conflict.

 

They list stuff from the Bible that Christians generally don’t take literally anymore and then list stuff from the Koran that Islamic terrorists quote to justify their actions.

I’ve been called all manner of things for noticing that, it’s interesting that a Muslim outlet is noticing it. I think it’s too late to do any good, but it might mean there’s hope for Lebanon. I try to like Lebanon but they let their Jew-Hatred get away, if they would stop that there might be hope for them.

 

America, of course, is going the other way. Some border patrol types get all Stasi on some Boy Scouts for having the temerity to think they live in a free country.

A Boy Scout took a picture of some border patrol assholes. The border patrol types said it was illegal (It isn’t) and drew a gun on a Boys Scout. They’re denying one of their OberFuhrers did that, but I know who I believe. Especially considering what we’ve seen these days.
