We have something to look forward to at the Olympics besides diseases, crime, extreme poverty, shitty venues, corrupt gov’t who’s going broke and is going to milk the furriners for every penny they can and men wearing dresses competing in women’s events. Oh, and the events. Can’t forget that.

The Brazilian authorities are trying to locate a former Guantanamo prisoner who is believed to have entered the country illegally after disappearing from Uruguay.

Abu Wa’el Dhiab, a Syrian national, was released in Uruguay along with five other former Guantanamo inmates in 2014.

 

So what we have to look forward to is Minitrue hiding that Obama let this terrorist go to kill teenagers who’ve worked their asses off to represent their country and tourists who came to cheer their country on (damn nationalist assholes deserve it anyway.)

Well, not so much look forward to as throw shit at my TV as they lie and ignore that it’s Obama’s fault.

The only suspense is how they’ll blame it on Trump.

 

Yes, I have been pretty worked up today, not just over the death of the rule of law, although that really pissed me off even though I was pretty sure it would happen, my dream of M’Shell running appears to be dashed.

Whine about my Caballero below the fold. More than a month later, it’s not done. The freaking thing had the distributor and Holley 4bbl already on it and it’s tuned, it’s two days work to swap an engine (15 hours or so).

I had two guys I knew who were going to install the engine into my Caballero, it was going to take a “few days”, which turned into a couple weeks because I was in NY. They knew they could put it off.

Everything except the water pump was there by 6/3. Now it’s a month later and I found out one of the guys disappeared (the better mechanic) and the other guy told me 6/19 that he had a “few minor things” and would be done maybe by 6/21 and surely by 6/23.

So he’s still not done and he keeps telling me I’m an asshole for wanting my fucking car and he had to spend time with his family instead of working on the car. Apparently, he got a wife and 3 kids after making the commitment to work on my car. Or maybe he’s just a fuckup.

So today I went over to see how it was coming.

The “Few minor things” are connecting the headers to the exhaust manifold, the alternator, the a/c compressor, the power steering pump, the hood and I’m not sure what else. Hopefully the transmission is connected and it’s bolted to the motor mounts.

I told him I was coming tomorrow to get my car, he said he probably wouldn’t be home.

So now I have to deal with police to go get my fucking car. I hate dealing with the police (I don’t hate police, I do hate having to deal with them), but  and I’m not going to have some asshole lying to me while not working on my car.

So my tomorrow is going to the cops, explaining my problem and getting them to come and cut the chain so I can get my car, then, I have to make sure that nothing is too screwed up to tow. I have a car dolley, hopefully that will be good.

If there are any problems, I’m going to go to small claims court and make that fucker go to court and miss work for a fucking year to get what he owes me if that’s what it takes. Which sucks, because in all cases of strife my goal is to get the other person to leave me alone. So many people just refuse to accept that. Jebus. Why can’t we all just leave each other alone?

That asshole is screwing with $10,000 of my money.

Yes, I shouldn’t have got that $5k engine, but 383 stroker crank with 442hp@5500rpm, 470 ft-lb torque @4200. I’m not doing this for an investment, although I’d bet with a good paint job I’d be able to get more than $10k for it. It’s in great shape.
