FBI Announces Investigation of GOP Senate Candidate Days Before Election

The alleged misconduct being investigated is somewhat obscure–something involving a work visa program in the state–but it is notable that the alleged misconduct was to have occurred three years ago, and the FBI’s announcement comes a year after the state’s own attorney general closed its own investigation without bringing any charges.

So after a reasonable prosecutor declined prosecution, the FBI decided to prosecute, obviously trying to tip an election toward their chosen, political party and away from their enemy’s party.
So what happened to the case?
The FBI announced Monday it has closed its investigation into South Dakota’s investment-for-visa program and the state’s U.S. Attorney would not pursue any prosecution.
This bit is funny.
It’s still not entirely clear (what the FBI was looking into V). Loven declined to discuss the details of the investigation or who the agency was looking into, but said the FBI had been investigating the program based on “allegations, which came to our attention.”
See, the whole ‘prosecution’ was an attempt to sway an election, just as today’s no-prosecution is an attempt to sway an election so the allegations obviously came from their political masters.
The rule of law is dead and the FBI is simultaneously dancing and pissing on its grave.
As I thought, the endy is overshadowing the funny.

Between the SD senate thing you just mentioned, the Wisconsin John Doe probes and Bob McDonnell’s (spelling? idc, honestly) conviction being unanimously overturned it’s starting to look a little like some of this stuff might be more about politics than “justice”.

Srsly, tho, the McDonnell thing pisses me off not because I cared for him (I always saw him as a glad-handing milquetoast squishy Washington Generals brand of R) but because wherever I read about his indictment and etc. made it out to be a pretty open-and-shut case of pay-to-play style bribery, so it wasn’t until the Supremes smacked it down that I learned that I had been minitrued on that one. I HATE being minitrued.
Yeah, being minitrued always bothers me too. The first time was when I trusted Mario Cuomo, that one really pissed me off.
Since minitrue hides their felonious behavior, they are getting more brazen and the R’s are playing the Generals.
I’m not sure if it’s because of the Chicago-machine running our nation or if it’s their natural inclination to shit on the hoi polloi and the unhelpful people they elect or if they refuse to believe anything that’s not in the NYTimesWashPostCNNABCCBSNBCetc.
