Here’s why the Hearings!!!!!! are a particularly galling part of failure theater: when the Dems have them, minitrue is all over them like flies on bull chips and the Narrative is inevitably that High Crimes and Misdemeanors have almost assuredly occurred. Yeah I’m frustrated because one of my congresscritters is big on the hearings but not so much on actually enforcing some consequences for bad behavior. Impeach Koskinen? Why that’s crazy talk! Throw in the fact that he’s slightly better than your average GOPe congresscritter when it comes to his votes but also a big co-sponsor of pork and corporatist-type bills and I’m just itching to vote against him. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a move to primary him thus far (LIVs everywhere, Woody) and the Dems that run against him are typically full-blown moonbats so I’m back to thinking I shouldn’t even vote, ’cause it’ll only encourage them.
