Trump’s economic plan.  Parts of it, like this, look great

Upon taking office, I will issue a temporary moratorium on new agency regulations.

Can he do that? I mean, I know that if he had a (D) after his name, he could do anything he wants, but can he with his (R) do that?

This he can do

I will also immediately cancel all illegal and overreaching executive orders.

If he spent his first 100 days cancelling all of Obama’s imperial orders, including the ones he did by memo like all the Obamacare waivers, that would make anything else he does palatable.

As a matter of fact, he should reverse all Obama’s waivers. Everybody who got a waiver (including Congress) gets Obamacare shoved down their cloaca, while all the rest of us get Obamacare waivers.

For Justice!

This is hilarious.

Next, I will ask each and every federal agency to prepare a list of all of the regulations they impose on Americans which are not necessary, do not improve public safety, and which needlessly kill jobs. Those regulations will be eliminated.

Yeah, I’m sure we can count on bureaucrats figuring out ways to reduce their power.

He has a bunch of stuff about China and I realize I’m in a distinct minority here, but I would be happy if we put a 500% tariff on all Chinese slave-made goods. We have robots that can make goods almost as cheaply as their slaves and they would be less likely to kill people and pets. (until they became self-aware and killed us all of course)

He mentioned that we have a 33% federal tax on businesses that is increased when adding in state and local taxes so

Under my plan, no American company will pay more than 15% of their business income in taxes.

Still too high. I think the corporate tax should be 0%.

All corporate taxes are paid by the consumer who buys their goods and/or services, so it’s not a way to make “Corporations Pay Their Fair Share!!!!!!”, it’s a way to convince envious/ignorant people to pay more in taxes while still getting props for Soaking It To The Rich!!!!!!!!!!

The problem I have with this is that, as with anything Trump, who the hell knows what he’s going to do?

I do know what Hillary! will do, pay off Dem groups and billionaires who give her money while taking my freedom, so there’s no reason to prefer her over Trump, but that’s like saying I’d rather be shot by an unknown gun than a .50 BMG.

Playing the percentages that’s a good deal, but what if the unknown gun is a .577 T-Rex?

I’m really sick of voting for shit to find out what’s in it.

We keep finding shit.

As someone who works for a federal agency, I can say with complete assurance that there are precisely zero things we do that are not absolutely beneficial – indeed, that are not positively vital – to the existence of the republic (I’m sure the Russians should have a copy of an email somewhere on the subject).

Thanks especially for the reference to the .577 T-Rex. I was unfamiliar with that round. Sounds like an excellent home-defense load (as long as you don’t mind replacing your drywall, and, most likely, your neighbor’s, as well).

I was a worker at a federal agency, I was at the Patent Office and moved to class 705, Business Methods, when it started.
I thought the whole class should not be allowed. In 1999 there was a decision, State St., about something and the judge gave his ruling and said, “By the way, methods are now patentable.”, so software is patentable.

That’s the Full Lawyer Employment class as most of the applications are designed to sue someone producing something. I had more than one guy say, “People are using my invention! I need this patent so I can sue them!!!” My response was almost invariably that it wasn’t his invention.

My favorite was the guy who tried to patent robots, I saw a Military Channel documentary on what the military was doing and a few years later I saw a bunch of applications based almost exactly on that documentary.
The guy didn’t think it was funny when I used Asimov and Fred Saberhagen as references. Made me laugh though.

I want one of those .577s bad.
I should find out if there’s an AR upper in that.

  2. Imadenier says:

What, at this point, does it matter… Congress writes the laws… the executive branch attempts to implement them, if poorly… cancel some laws and the executive orders and reorganize the executive branch and the government could shrink…but usually functions just get outsourced…presidential candidates can say whatever they want, but Paco et al will remain employed…

you want a revolver, a rifle or both for that .577 ?

  3. Imadenier says:

bummer you missed them…and North American camels by about 10,000 years…the went extinct because of stupid climate change…

  4. […] Yeah see, Trump is talking about that, he just had a whole big rollout of his plan, it was in all the blogs! […]
