So she’s been made captain of the Trump-Titanic.
I have to wonder what her motivation is. Did Reince ask her to do the party a solid and make sure Trump doesn’t lose too badly to mitigate down-ballot losses?
Or is she serious in thinking he can win?
Or is she just in it for the money? I have to think the money thing is the least likely factor. Going forward, who is going to hire the lady who tried to salvage the Trump campaign?
She never struck me as a rocket surgeon from her media appearances in the past.
You don’t think Trump has a chance?
I’m not so sure about that.
The more things that come out about all the corruption, lying and harm to national security the more people are going to have Clinton fatigue.
Does anybody not a leftist really want to spend 4 more years of listening to, “No allegations have been proven!” followed by Well, we did that one part that has been proven of what we were accused of doing, but the rest has not been proven so we didn’t do that!”?
I think he has a small chance. I wouldn’t bet that way, but yes.
I’m officially undecided between the Profane Orangutan and a third party. LP keeps shitting on themselves and Trump hasn’t fallen completely off the cliff yet, so I may vote Orangutan.
If he’s losing by 10+ in the polls in my state I will vote for some third party, most likely LP. If he’s with 10 I will swallow my pride and vote for The Don.
I’ve done worse things than vote for Trump, but I’m not proud of them..
This one has been particularly fendy to me during this election cycle. Used to be, the so-called Libertarians would be pretty convincing in their affectation of liberty-based principles. But these days, the split that we see is more credentialed elite vs. unwashed populist and so we see such Libertarian luminaries as Virginia Postrel making the claim that a vote for Hillary! would be better since she would be effectively constrained by congress and the courts (stop laughing) whilst Trump would be an unaccountable, unmitigated disaster. Meanwhile, the LP candidate himself has amply demonstrated that adherence to the kulturkampf is now more important than a foolish principled consistency (shame, too) and for bonus fendy we even have the usual progressives-in-drag suspects trotting out the tired old, “yeah, okay, so they’ve compromised some principles here and there but, y’know, politics, half a loaf, the moderates, gotta unite behind the candidate, and anyway still better than the competition” defense oh-so-popular with doomed-to-lose Republican tickets. I mean, I haven’t even had a drink yet today and just looking at the Jacket write off all of those ugly warts as just “concern trolling” is making me chuckle, even though I read it weeks ago. Doubleplusfendy: sure there’d be a place for Mittens in their cabinet because Of Course there would be! 😀
This is the second election where I realized that voting Libertarian wasn’t a good protest vote.
No, for this election the best protest vote is voting for the GOP candidate.
That’s fucking funny.
PreZACTly. I lost some significant time to schadenfreude reading some attempts by the Le (that’s Libertarian establishment, natch) trying to spin their pair of milquetoast candidates as “centrist”, “mainstream”, a sign that the party is growing up (seriously, stop laughing) and an unmitigated Good Thing. Okay, okay, so I was mostly reading the comments calling out Reason for the BS it was spewing, but still… 😀
