For a different take on this from mine, with helicopter vid, Bob Owens thinks it’s a good shoot.
That doesn’t change my main point, that this will be used against Trump, but it is a different opinion on the righteousness of the shoot.
Now to our post in its entirety!
Unarmed black man tasered then shot.
The police video shows Crutcher walking toward his SUV with his hands up and a female officer following him. The vehicle is stopped in the middle of the road. As Crutcher approaches the SUV, three male officers walk up and Crutcher appears to lower his hands and place them on the vehicle. The officers surround him, making it harder to see his actions from the police dashboard camera’s angle.
Crutcher can be seen dropping to the ground. Someone on the police radio says, “I think he may have just been Tasered.” One of the officers near Crutcher backs up slightly.
Then almost immediately, someone can be heard saying, “Shots fired.”
In this dash-cam vid it surely looks bad.
Two things.
That looks really bad. Really bad. It’s the sort of thing that could happen to anybody, unlike the other, resisting arrest/armed perps shot that caused so many riots, but since it’s a black man, it leads us to:
Minitrue needs something to bash Trump with, expect him to be tied to this and wall-to-wall coverage as soon as CNN notices it.
This is not going to be pretty.
Oh, and via one of my favorite things, Blazing Cat Fur, we find out the NY/NJ terrorist was arrested for an illegal gun before so his handgun was most likely illegal. And it’s not his first time attacking other folks.
- Criminal court documents show Ahmad Rahami was arrested for stabbing someone in the leg and possession of a firearm in 2014
- Grand jury let him walk despite the arresting officer saying Rahami was likely ‘a danger to himself or others’
Wouldn’t want to be an islamophobe and notice this.
