The GOP keeps the House and Senate and
Republicans expanded their ranks of governors, winning Democratic-held seats in Vermont, New Hampshire and Missouri. The party also made gains in state executive offices and in legislatures across the country.
It’s been funny today watching the people who kept telling us Trump could win if only he would listen to them (he didn’t listen to them) tell us how Trump must act now.

Nato chiefs, thrown into a panic by fears that Russian President Vladimir Putin might attack the West, are scrambling to put together a force of 300,000 troops which they can put on ‘high alert’.

Trump cannot do any worse than Obama (we’ll be generations recovering from Obama), but he will have to deal with his messes.
When China, Russia, the Norks, Iran and Turkey get their invasion on, it’s all gonna be Trump’s fault.

I think Putin was ready to send Hillary a message, with her “no fly zone”. The thing is, Putin is partly a chess or poker player looking for a worthy opponent. Trump is probably our best chance to match wits with him. Before the Cold War its was the balance of power game, and we’re back there again, with Russia now dominating, coming from being nothing a century ago.
Trump may have to sacrifice some pawns, such as Baltic states. We are NOT all marching off to defend Poland, which is what Hillary would have bungled us into.
Does that sound cynical or unambitious? Yeah I have Polish and Estonian friends. It’s not that I don’t care. Maybe there’s a better deal to be made anyway. Of course you must negotiate from a position of strength not weakness, so it looks good.
The best way to defend eastern Europe is to act as if we will get in a war there.
