There have been many examples of a ‘mostly-peaceful’ movement whose goals were violently supported by a supposed unaffiliated organization.

The Spartans 

Had the Krypeia, they killed uppity helots……………………

 

We can look to Ireland in the mid-late 1900s.

They had with the totally unaffiliated IRA 

 

 

The Dems haven’t learned a lot of history, but what they’ve learned they really know well.

But they weren’t part of Berkely!!!!!!!!! journolistsplains this NY Times article about how free speech is good and all, for some people. I love this bit. Notice the “mostly likely were not from the campus”, that’s leftish for “were mostly Berkely students.”

It was clear early on that the majority of violent protesters most likely were not from the campus. Still, in the aftermath, I heard people say that peaceful demonstrations would not have succeeded in preventing Mr. Yiannopoulos from speaking. So was violence appropriate? (emphasis me V)

Sometimes violence is necessary when dealing with people who disagree with the tenets of love, tolerance and mostly-peace.
