Romania’s parliament on Monday unanimously endorsed a presidential proposal for a nationwide referendum to get public support for the fight against corruption.

Keep watching them, right now they’re just trying to get you to shut up and go back to ignoring them. Don’t fall for it!

There is no time-frame yet and MPs’ backing for the plan is not binding.

But it does send a strong message…

A Hitler lookalike has been arrested in Austria on charges of glorifying the Nazi era, local officials say.

The 25-year-old man reportedly calls himself Harald Hitler.

The man, sporting a side parting and a trademark moustache, had been seen having his photograph taken outside the house in Braunau am Inn in which Adolf Hitler was born.

He was arrested for dressing like Hitler, nothing more. I’m all for laws against murderous ideologies acting murderously ideological, but shouldn’t those laws require actual actions? I mean, I know why they have the laws, they don’t trust their serfs. That doesn’t mean I like it.

Fakenewsers at the NY Times on the recent round-ups of extra-felony illegal aliens.

Federal immigration officials arrested more than 600 people across at least 11 states last week, detaining 40 people in the New York City area, law enforcement officials said on Sunday.

It remained unclear whether the actions by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were part of continuing operations to round up undocumented immigrants with criminal convictions or a ramping-up of deportations by the Trump administration.

Wait, you mean they didn’t tell you?

President Trump proclaimed on Twitter early Sunday morning: “The crackdown on illegal criminals is merely the keeping of my campaign promise. Gang members, drug dealers & others are being removed!”

But Gillian Christensen, acting press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, said, “The focus of these targeted enforcement operations is consistent with the routine, targeted arrests carried out by ICE’s Fugitive Operations Teams on a daily basis.”

That “But” in there in the second paragraph is not needed, unless you want to follow up with some lies to obfuscate the issue.

The contradiction heightened an already swelling fear among immigrants and their advocates.

Oh right.

Now remember this paragraph as you read what the Daily Mail reports.

“All these people are in violation of some sort of immigration law,” the official said, adding that some of their convictions included rape and aggravated assault.

Oh, so only “some”?

That doesn’t sound like “some” to me.

Remember, we have to learn bad news for Dem constituencies in furrin papers.

So I Documented A Hate Crime Incident Today…
I was inspired by this CBC article; Website to keep tabs on incidents involving hate in Alberta

I was so motivated I went straight to the STOPHATEAB.CA web site and filed my complaint.

I complained about an Anti-Ahmadi sect hate screed that the Muslims in Calgary web site has had published since at least 2016. I covered this hate screed last year and you can read about it here.

The hate screed states that the Ahmadi are apostates who spread filth and are allied with Israel. That’s pretty much a death sentence in Islam.

I expect the response to say, ‘Stop being so hatey! We go after right wing hate!” or something semantically equivalent but obfuscatory.

 

The Narrative! Is Everything!

The media luminaries have gone crazy after four journalists asked a series of legitimate questions about major international issues like immigration, national security, and trade policy of President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a joint press conference on Monday.
Media figures are furious that the journalists asked about real issues affecting people in both countries—the United States and Canada—rather than parroting the same anti-Trump narrative about National Security Adviser Gen. Michael Flynn that the media have been pushing all weekend.

There are two reasons the media is freaking out over Trump taking questions from non-important news outlets. The first is They’re Important and this makes them feel less important. The other is that the new folks don’t know which questions they’re supposed to ask to further The Narrative!. That pisses them off.

I’m not sure what to think about Flynn. On the one hand, I have no idea what’s going on (at least I admit it, Minitrue just makes up the worst interpretation), on the other hand this gives Minitrue a stick to beat Trump with. On the gripping hand, the Trump 2020 reelection committee is in full swing so they’ll overplay their OUTRAGE!!!! on this. (Megyn Kelly must be freaking out that she can’t get her OUTRAGE!!!!!!! on for a while)

The reason you’re being paid to do that is because that’s what the news media is all about anymore, you lie to elect Dems or you do click-bait articles with “boob” and “sex” in the headline.

But the important part is that the story actually shows us the MO of the news media very succinctly. The quoted bits are from his editor telling him how to write a hard-news article.

“The last thing we want is readers to think we have an opinion, we’ve got to disguise that with suggestive yet subtle language, but don’t make it obvious. We’re judging her for having the boob job, but we don’t want our readers to realise that, we’ve got to stay on the fence about these things and invite them to judge instead”. Well, fucking fair play for stating the obvious Siobhan. Last thing we’d want is our readers thinking is that we only publish this shit pretending there’s a ‘controversial this or that’, just to get them nice and annoyed.

“Frame it so that the speculation about the boob job comes from another publication, copy and paste if needed. Or if you can’t get that just use some randomers tweets on Twitter”. Loud and clear Siobhan. Plenty of random tweets out there. Should be easy.

The subject doesn’t matter, our fine media betters do the same thing with every story. They start out with the conclusion then change the facts to fit The Narrative!. It’s what they do.

In the coming weeks, grassroots conservatives will be fighting back.

FreedomWorks, the Tea Party-aligned outside group, beginning next month will be organizing rallies and urging its nearly 6 million activists to turn out at town hall events to ensure members of Congress are also getting an earful from ObamaCare detractors.

Those totally peaceful lefty rioters are not known to take dissent very peacefully and I think the used-to-be really peaceful Tea Party types are all outta cheeks to turn.

In another sweeping move aimed at undoing the perceived damage done by the Obama administration, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday directing the Department of Justice to revoke all sixteen Thanksgiving Day turkey pardons issued by the former president during his eight years in office.

…“This morning, the president once again used his executive powers to see to it that justice is served and that the surviving creatures will be destroyed.”

Man do I wish Trump would do that. The freaking out by the media as America is rolling around on the floor laughing would be all about teh awesome.

 

Back in the 80s, Times Square was not a very safe place. It was full of drug dealers, hookers, sidewalk hustlers and the businesses were mostly sex shops with peep shows. At 20 years old, my friend and I were mugged there, just standing on the sidewalk waiting for another friend.

Then, Benito Guiliani showed you can tame the city and Times Square became all Disneyfied, the low-lifes moved off a few blocks, it actually caused a sort of, hooker-inspired gentrification in Hell’s Kitchen. The class of low-life there skyrocketed.
