Comey is going to testify before Congress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the Senate Intelligence Committee in public sometime after Memorial Day.

The committee’s chairman, Sen. Richard Burr, and the ranking Democrat, Sen. Mark Warner, announced Friday that Comey will testify in an open setting before the committee. The date of the hearing has not yet been set.

There is just so much in that that sentence and a half that’s just wrong.

Notice the operative word, “open”. Since it will be open, look for him to not answer any question because that would compromise NATIONAL SECURITY!!!!!!!!!!! He will neither confirm nor deny crap, he will try to insinuate all manner of things.

Notice the date has not yet been set. You know what that means! Leaks for all! Oh the leaks we’re gonna see about what Comey’s gonna testify about, from unimpeachable, anonymous sources reading from memos that we can’t see! That’s the gold standard of reportage!

Then, we’ll get to see all the Trump Changes His Story!!!!!!! articles where Trump didn’t change his story, the journolister just twisted something he said and then twisted something else he said and then just made a bunch of stuff up. You know, business as usual.

 

Which leads us to this.

Please stop making me defend Trump

 

1980-2014 Veeshir would be very upset if 2017 Veeshir told him he was spending so much time and effort defending Trump. He’d probably punch me right in the nose. I would refuse to tell him I voted for Trump, even against Hillary. Even 1996 Veeshir wouldn’t think that was funny.

Regular readers are familiar with my disdain for Trump, having been a Never Trumper prior to the election. However, once he was elected, Trump became my president because that’s just how life works. (My thoughts on that here.)

I’m still skeptical of Trump’s ability to do the job well, but I grow increasingly aggravated with the collective political media set who seem to be doing everything in their power to destroy this presidency. We don’t have an opportunity to praise or criticize the administration and their efforts because the whole of our time is spent debunking misreported claims based on anonymous sources, none of which are favorable to Trump.

It’s like global warmmongering, you can’t do real science to see what we’re doing to the environment because all the SCIENCE!!!!!!!!! has to be about how WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!! from CO2, just as we have to respond to idiotic lies from anonymous source and OUTRAGES!!!!!!!! that Trump gets two fucking scoops of fucking ice cream.

The 21st century is not what I expected.

 

More questions for the lying liars who lied about some anonymous memo that nobody can see.

That carefully-worded sentence doesn’t tell us much. It’s a “White House document.” Written by whom? Circulated among what group as the official account? For example, was this document signed off on by Trump as an official memo for in-house consumption? Was it written or approved by someone who was at the meeting? As I read the paragraph above, I also note that the second official confirmed the “broad outlines” of the discussion but did not confirm the Trump quote.

While I applaud this, he’s just feeding into their delusions and even worse, he’s trying to reason people out of a position they were not reasoned into.

 

More anonymous leaks.

Aides to President Trump reportedly organized an “intervention” recently in an attempt to get their boss to curb his infamous tweetstorms.

I’m not so much defending Trump as pointing and laughing at the lying Never Trumpers in the NY Post.

I just cannot see his staffers having an “intervention”. I mean, I didn’t hear about a bunch of Trump staffers being fired and tossed out the front door by a couple of his Marine guards. They would report real news on Trump, not just the made-up stuff, right?

 

Speaking of our fine media betters, Anderson Cooper, he who labeled the Tea Baggers, he who will defend Hillary no matter what she says or does, up to and including lying about her made-up pneumonia,

 

During a segment on AC360, Cooper verbally sparred with Lord, a CNN political commentator, over revelations that Trump reportedly told Russian officials that former FBI Director James Comey is a “nut job” who was adding pressure to the ongoing investigation of possible interference in the 2016 election. Clearly frustrated with Lord’s response to the matter, Cooper interrupted the conservative pundit and interjected with a not-so-subtle jab.

“If he took a dump on his desk, you would defend it,”

And then apologized. Oh.. mighty big of him.

He won’t change his hate-filled bias, he has his standard standard after all, but he will say he’s sorry for saying a bad thing to a fascist.

Who, remember, was responding to a moronic lie by an anonymous ‘leaker’ that I would be utterly unsurprised if said leaker did not even exist. I’d bet the whole idiotic thing was made up of whole cloth either solely by the journolister or by a Democratic operatative with the connivance of the journolister. Well, another Democratic operative besides the journolister.

 

If you change “Palestinian terrorist” for “anti-fa thuggle”, in the near future I expect to see shit like this with CNN being ‘ON-SCENE!”

An Israeli man whose car was attacked by rioters shot dead a Palestinian man and injured an Associated Press photojournalist during a violent protest in the northern West Bank town of Hawara on Thursday, officials said. His car was pelted with stones and he said he believed he was going to be killed, and that he fired in self-defense…

Now, naturally the Israeli is being attacked, they were just throwing stones at this occupier, he had no right to defend himself against a mob!

The injury to the photo “journalist” raises its own questions. How is it that multiple photo journalists were present at the supposedly random and spontaneous attack? Maybe because it wasn’t random and spontaneous, but preplanned, just waiting for an Israeli vehicle, with the journalists embedded with the attackers.

The difference being that when it happens with CNN and an anti-fa thuggle, it will most likely be in a Dem run city so the victim won’t be armed. When the media and the thugglets are so simpatico, it’s only a matter of time before the protestors and the media collude to get some good footage of a nazi being beaten.

That 5 years culminated in Flynn heading the NIA in 7/2012. As this was going on.

V), but there is no fire at all,”

That won’t stop them as the Dems, their media arm and the GOP obfuscate the issue. You see, COLLUSION! is a nice, ambiguous term that doesn’t really mean all that much.

 

This story leaves us with a conundrum.

California’s elected Democrats had tough words for President Donald Trump and the GOP Congress on Saturday, urging their party’s fired-up activists to work against the 14 Republicans in the state’s congressional delegation.

You could write that story any day of any year there’s any Republican doing something to thwart the forces of Tolerance, Love and Mostly-Peace, so did the editor need some filler or was the journolister just late with a story so he moderned that up from one he wrote in 2006? I mean, do a ctrl-f and change all the “Bush”es into “Trump”s and voila! Timely Story!

 

I’d say this formulation is exactly the opposite of the deal.

Removing Trump Won’t Solve America’s Crisis

Watching our social, moral, political and intellectual betters undo an election they did not like would not be the end of the problems but the beginning of some serious problems.

Just cuz it’s very fucking funny out doesn’t mean it’s not very fucking endy as well.

 

I used to be against term limits, but getting rid of these assholes would be a good idea.

Of all the crazy ways that members of Congress are above the law, the fact that politicians and their staff are largely immune from insider trading laws has to be near the top of the list.

They write the laws that govern themselves. While I am second to none in my admiration for the writers of the Constitution, how the fuck did they let that happen? I mean, I know how, the men who voted on the Constitution were men not saints. But still.

I just can’t work up my usual, “That’s telling Americans they don’t know who to vote for!”

Because we obviously don’t.
