Get out your squeezy bulbs!!!!! We have more hearings!!!!!!!!!!

GOP voters device

This leads us to just one question.

The Senate Judiciary Committee has opened a probe into former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s efforts to shape the FBI’s investigation into 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, the committee’s chairman announced Friday.

Isn’t it early to be posturing? The important election is more than a year away, why throw this posturing pander until closer to the election? Oh wait, last week they were praising Trey Gowdy for keeping another Hearing!!!!! going for over a year, maybe they’re competing to see how long they can keep the proles riled up with Hearings!!!!!! and Committees!!!!!!!.

You know who isn’t going to investigate the behavior of the Dept. of “Justice” during the last election?

The Dept. of “Justice” that’s who. The only ones who could actually do any fucking good but would be investigating themselves. While they know who did what to whom, it’s because they’re the who and they’re still doing the what. The whom is us.

All we’re gonna get is fish in the face.

Totally not relatedly, we’re on day 1506 of the IRS ‘Scandal’ that nobody seems to be interested in.

Nonetheless, on March 22, 2016, in the case of United States v. NorCal Tea Party Patriots, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit disagreed with this interpretation and determined that tax exempt application information is not “return information,” and thus not protected from § 6103 disclosure. The Sixth Circuit’s ruling directly contravenes a previous District of Columbia Circuit ruling on the issue and is likely to expose attempts by the IRS to intervene in United States politics via the tax-exemption application process and 26 U.S.C. § 501(c)(3). This Comment discusses the basics of §§ 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4), the attempts by the IRS to engage in politics using § 501(c), the conflicting holdings and United States circuit courts’ various interpretations of § 6013 protection for the IRS, and the future implications of the circuit split created by the Sixth Circuit’s holding in NorCal. …

Wait, the IRS lost a court case! That’s never happened before!!!! That’ll change….abso fucking lutely nothing.

They’ve lost so many court cases and told the court to suck their balls that I just don’t see how the law-enforcement agency that’s been ignoring that is going to suddenly investigate themselves or anyone on ‘their’ team.

Speaking of our gov’t fucking us, I can’t believe I didn’t even expect this.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT QUIETLY HELPED AND REWARDED COMPANIES AND UNIVERSITIES WHICH HIRED ROUGHLY 330,000 CHEAP FOREIGN GRADUATES IN 2016 INSTEAD OF HIRING AMERICAN GRADUATES, MANY OF WHOM ARE DEEP IN DEBT.
The little-known “Optional Practical Training” program has grown from 91,140 new foreign job-seekers in 2009 to 329,158 new job-seekers in 2016, according to data provided by the Department of Homeland Security. That is almost a four-fold increase in seven years — and the program is growing even larger in 2017.

Once again, I was not paranoid enough. That’s happened to me more in the last 10 years than in the previous 40.

I can understand at least part of the reason for doing that, hiring angry race-studies majors is not a good idea, but surely there are a few hundred thousand qualified Americans out there they could have hired.

No for something totally unexpected!

You know, if I trusted these assholes I’d be more likely to…uhhh…trust them.

Among fans of the noir crime classic “Pulp Fiction,” there are some wild theories about what was inside the mystical briefcase that Marsellus Wallace dispatched his men to collect. The joke, of course, is on the audience. There’s something unthinkable in there, something that glows and hums, something perhaps supernatural … but we’ll never find out what.

As of this writing, a Senate Republican’s odds of guessing the contents of that briefcase are about as good as his odds of guessing what’s inside this famed Obamacare replacement plan.

No, not even Sen. Mike Lee, who was himself recruited into a working group that he and others thought would “be in charge of writing this bill,” has set eyes on the thing…

Recruiting Mike Lee was just another fish in my face, he’s being used. I hope that pisses him off. You know they knew better than to try that shit on Ted Cruz, he’s already called McConnell a lying bitch.

Repeal And Replace! is “fix”, so neither ‘repeal’ nor ‘replace’. As Obamacare is collapsing before our eyes, as more and more companies are opting out, these assholes are trying to keep the power. Any bill they use to Repeal And ReplaceTM will require vast influxes of our great grandchildren’s money.

At least we aren’t going to have to pay for it. Well, maybe with societal collapse, but at least taxes will be lower for a while. Until the warlords take over I guess. Since I’m hoping for that position myself, my taxes will still be low.

I agree!

‘It would be a very, very sad day for Republicans’ if Nancy Pelosi steps down, Trump says  5 Hours Ago | 00:54
President Donald Trump said he hopes House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi does not step down from her post.

In an appearance on “Fox & Friends” that aired on Friday, Trump said he would like Pelosi to stay right where she is because she has an “extraordinary record against her.”

“It would be a very, very sad day for Republicans if she steps down. I would be very disappointed if she did,” Trump said.

Without Nancy using her charm to keep the Democrats in lockstep the GOP might have to actually explain why they’re not able to do what they’ve been elected to do.

Our fine minitrue betters are all upset.

“We have urged the White House not to replace on-camera briefings with ‘gaggles,’ not-for-broadcast question & answer sessions,” Mason said in a statement.

Yeah, nobody watches them anymore, they’re just a bunch of angry children whining at Spicer.

“We believe strongly that Americans should be able to watch and listen to senior government officials face questions from an independent news media, in keeping with the principles of the First Amendment and the need for transparency at the highest levels of government,”

That ship has sailed. You assholes are not “independent” except in the sense that you’re a herd of assholes who hate Trump. We just got done with the most transparent administration ever and you assholes ignored all the felonies they transparently committed. Pardon us if we don’t give shit one about you angry, Democrat, partisan ignoramuses.

Speaking of angry ignoramuses, Johnny Depp!

Johnny Depp: ‘When Was the Last Time an Actor Assassinated a President?’

That would be the last time a Republican angered Democrats by trying to get blacks out of their clutches.

It’s funny how the FBI declared that there was no way that guy was hunting Republicans, and of course, this is not a call to hunt the POTUS.

Cuz lefties are all tolerant, loving and mostly-peaceful.

Via my favorite light in the darkness.

Trump’s been about the best case scenario for me. I knew he’d do northeast GOP stuff, but I’d hoped he cut regulations and screw with all the idiots. Mission Accomplished.

I’d also hoped that, being the CEO type he is, he’d hire really good people and leave them alone to do their jobs.

Trump’s reliance on his generals shows that he values merit over politics.

Donald Trump earned respect from the Washington establishment for appointing three of the nation’s most accomplished generals to direct his national-security policy: James Mattis (secretary of defense), H. R. McMaster (national-security adviser), and John Kelly (secretary of homeland security).

In the first five months of the Trump administration, the three generals — along with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, the former Exxon Mobil CEO — have already recalibrated America’s defenses.

I figure he told Tillerson and Mattis to have fun, just don’t launch nukes without letting him know first.

Shit for sale!

The deadly collision between a U.S. destroyer and a container ship June 17 took place while the freighter was on autopilot, according to Navy officials…

Investigators so far found no evidence the collision was deliberate.

Nobody’s buying. Especially after all the non-information ‘information’ we’ve been getting.

Cultural suicide is pretty sad.

The “interfaith” movement has reached an important milestone: a mosque has been constructed inside a church in Berlin. Everyone is excited and happy about this significant event, which allows people of all faiths to come together under one roof in peace and harmony and etc blah yak.

Inside their church? How about when an Orthodox priest can have mass in the Hagia Sophia?

I won’t want to laugh, but I might have to when a guy comes out of the mosque and blows himself up in the church.

I haven’t read the article, and I’m not gonna because I’ve read enough stupid shit today and, while this might not be stupid, it surely looks that way, but I love the headline.

BRITAIN ORDERS IMMEDIATE PROBE INTO FRIDGE THAT STARTED DEADLY BLAZE

That headline epitomizes Akbar Britain in a way that nothing I write could. Like when they investigate people who say bad things about Muslims instead of investigating the Muslims who keep murdering their subjects.

Let’s Chicago! It’s like Venezuela except with fewer cops.

Remember when we had citywide units? A few hundred cops that the Department could call out for situations exactly like this? This event isn’t a secret – it’s been going on for years. Units like the old Task Force morphed into Gangs morphed into Special Operations, Targeted Response or Mobile Strike Force. Three-hundred cops who could have days off canceled at a moment’s notice along with District Gang/Tact teams gave the Department a force of 500 or so to deal something like this ..

Now CPD has 25 cars show up? For a crowd numbering 1,000? A crowd that’s been drinking and smoking all night without any interference from authorities? With (we’re betting) a few hundred guns? And nothing has been done for years? In a city that has abandoned the rule of law? What exactly are the police supposed to do?

That can’t end well. Rahm does not understand how to run a crime family like Chicago. He’s spending far too much of their money paying off his buddies while screwing over the city.

He’ll leave soon and everybody will say he failed but he will have siphoned off $billions for himself and his friends. The misery he leaves behind is not his concern. It’s a hallmark of Clintons and their istas after all.

Paying attention to reality is not our fine social, moral, intellectual and political betters’ forte.

…three Little League baseball games on the West Side during an event this week meant to build connections between two Chicago neighborhoods that grapple with violence.

So how did those games go? See those first ellipses?

Gunfire interrupted three Little League baseball games…

Yeah, about how anybody with a clue would expect. I am a little surprised they didn’t beat on each other using the bats.

Sorry, I forgot the score.

at least nine shots were fired around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. No one was hit, but the fields were cleared.

A shutout! It’s not often Chicago gets a shutout. In gangland, that’s the opposite of a pitcher’s duel. You’d think after last year’s World Series of murder victory they’d be better but that’s what happens when you get cocky.

Is there such a word as “de-teaching“?

If not, that math ‘teacher’ just made it up.

Imagine the poor kid trying to explain that each cut will take 10 minutes with the teacher condescendingly explaining that each piece takes 5 minutes.

Via David Thompson’s Friday Ephemera, I usually click every link and I don’t click links for just about anybody else.

Yesterday I posted this picture, as I looked at it I kept thinking that maybe it was p-shopped.

but now I see that it wasn’t.

That, my friends, is the Prime Minister of Canada.

The one who would have to stand up to Tsar Putin I over territory in the Arctic.

I had a chuckler to end on but really, it would be anti-climactic. I’ll save it for a less funny day.

  1. The Neon Madman says:

Oh yes, yes…there will be hearings! Which will result in a report, which will then be examined by a committee who will issue findings that will be sent to a panel for evaluation, which will result in recommendations that will be ignored because by then everyone will have lost interest or forgotten what the original issue was.

I don’t even get worked up about it anymore. I have seen the movie a million times, and the ending is always the same.

    Short version: we’re boned.

I’m starting to get more worked up over every hearing, committee and panel. That one has DiFi investigating Obama’s “justice” dept.
In other words, it’s designed from the ground up to be a spectacle.
We’re running out of bread but they surely want to keep the circuses going strong.

  2. Paco says:

I lost faith in the utility of Senate and House “investigations” a long time ago – at least as far back as Rep. Daryl Issa, who opened one investigation after another and didn’t generate anything but self-serving headlines.

As you say, V, they’re no longer even competent enough to get the timing of their posturing right.

    • veeshir says:

It’s all they know. They don’t know how to do anything else.
I mean, what are they supposed to do? Repeal Obamacare and give up all that power? Secure the border and keep all that cheap labor out?

      It’s what they know.
