Pulling Back The Curtain

I don’t like Trump very much but he’s surely exposed a lot that our betters would prefer be hidden.

I will say that I can’t believe I’ve been defending him.

As sockless joe wrote in suggesting we vote for him:

Donald Trump is a despicable human being…

I am compelled to vote for the candidate with the greatest chance of stopping this atrocity, Donald Trump.

May God have mercy on all our souls.

Now that’s an endorsement.

Who’s avoiding whom?

Embattled Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has avoided facing any media since her law enforcement arrested her former IT staffer Imran Awan Tuesday on bank fraud charges.

“Embattled”? Buh? Shouldn’t that read, “Ignored” or “Uninteresting“?

In Washington, it’s never about what they tell you it’s about. So take this to the bank: The case of Imran Awan, Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s mysterious Pakistani IT guy, is not about bank fraud.

She should be embattled, but instead she’s apparently uninvolved in some bank fraud by some dudes. Just ask The NYTimesWashPostCNNABCCBSNBCetc.

Emboldened gadfly, Rand Paul, has concerns.

“The Kentucky lawmaker added that eavesdropping and subsequent leaking to the press needs to be punished, regardless of politics. He said millions of Americans are changing their behavior because of the intelligence community’s surveillance program, and ‘that’s wrong.’”

Only on the right. Lefties are utterly unconcerned about violence, calls for violence and barratry. Not much different from how it’s been, but now normal people are unable to ignore it.

And they’re not.

A local community is making a bold move after a roadside memorial honoring veterans was taken down in Preston.

King County road crews took down a “years-old display” of American and POW flags in the town of Preston after someone complained about it.

Crews also say they took down the original flags because they didn’t have permission to be there.

But on Thursday night angry neighbors hung up new flags.

“People were really, really upset about this,” said one local resident.

This is why we have Trump and how you get more Trump.

Are Trump and Sessions actually playing 9-dimensional checkers?

He hasn’t begun the investigation into leaks, which is a big deal and he’s recused himself from Russia. So today Sessions announces… Well, it’s said that he’s gonna announce a new investigation into all of the illegal, felonious leaking that is taking place. Sessions may be… I’ll tell you what this means. He may be about to open investigations into Democrats. Stick with me on this. Hillary Clinton, Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz — and, believe me, is there ever fertile ground to investigate Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz and the DNC and her IT staffer, Imran Awan of Virginia…

. But not from the angle that the Democrats are interested in. If this is announced, if Sessions announces this — when he does — it will follow a week minimum, maybe two weeks, of all of these Democrats defending the honor of Jeff Sessions.

Praising his integrity, talking about what a raw deal he’s been getting from Trump. But the point is, go back to the campaign, fast-forward to the transition and Sessions’ nomination to be attorney general, the confirmation hearings. “What a pig! What a racist! What an absolute joke! What a danger! This guy… Beauregard? Ha! We know what that means. The guy may as well own a plantation. He probably still has secret slaves. Beauregard? Who names their kid Beauregard?” They’re out there trying to impugn Sessions.

Now they’ve been defending him and setting him up as one of most integrity filled people of all, ’

It’s an interesting supposition, call it the Comey Gambit.  I will say that I’ve become sure that Trump has a “Piss off the lefties, the media and the Uniparty” Coordinator so this is plausible.

Speaking of coordinators, definitional problems abound!

That’s a Diversity Coordinator coordinating exclusion. Hilarious. You know, cuz I don’t go to that school.

via Wirecutter, Whenever someone yells “Allahu Akbar” during an attack ‘officials’ are utterly confused as to their motives.

Do EUnuchs understand how ridiculous they look?

A man wielding a large kitchen knife killed one and wounded four others after storming into a supermarket in the German city of Hamburg.
The attacker is reported to have screamed ‘Allahu Akbar’ before running into the Edeka shop where he stabbed one person and slashed at four others while trying to flee.
He was pursued by passers-by who wrestled him to the ground and called the police, who later arrested him.
One officer said there was ‘no valid information on the motive of the attacker‘ who has yet to be identified.

All signs point to “Not a fucking clue”. My magic 8-ball is kinda foul mouthed.

Wirecutter asks, in relation to the above link, “Will Germany ever open her eyes?”

He could also ask that about Akbar Britain.

This highlights the other problem with EUnuchstan in that accurately describing anything about any favored group is a hate-crime so it’s very hard to figure out what the hell is going on.

As violent riots erupted last night, dramatic video showed more than a dozen officers retreating from protesters who launched objects at them.

They were also seen clinging to the front of a truck which ploughed through bins that had been set up as a barricade.

The violence has drawn parallels with the London riots in 2011, which were sparked by the police shooting of 29-year-old Mark Duggan in Tottenham.

As darkness fell, youths were seen setting fire to mattresses in the middle of the road and pelting police vans with objects.

Which set of “youths” is this? Asian? (which in Akbar Britain is “Pakistani”, not ‘oriental’ the way it is in America), North African?

The guy who was killed that is the supposed spark is being called, “black”, so I’m unsure.

We see that Brit pols are all in on cultural suicide.

‘Understandable anger’: Local MP Diane Abbott joins protesters as she defends rioters but calls for calm amid fears of new London riots after police were last night attacked in Hackney over death of man as he was arrested

Diane Abbott has defended the ‘understandable anger and upset’ of a furious mob of rioters who lit bonfires and hurled petrol bombs at officers in Dalston, east London , last night.

That should read, “Diane Abbot has defended the indefensible”, but we’re in the Now, so that’s not what they wrote.

I gotta say I am not so sure why they’re doing this.

China has been bolstering defenses along its 880-mile frontier with North Korea and realigning forces in surrounding regions to prepare for a potential crisis across their border, including the possibility of a U.S. military strike…

China’s military has also merged, moved and modernized other units in border regions and released details of recent drills there with special forces, airborne troops and other units that experts say could be sent into North Korea in a crisis. They include a live-fire drill in June by helicopter gunships and one in July by an armored infantry unit recently transferred from eastern China and equipped with new weaponry.

I’d say they were there to help their ‘plausible deniability’ province, I know I’m in the minority on that. We’ll see.

The Panama Papers scandal has been mostly ignored in this country, but it’s been huge in other places, like Pakistan where their Supreme Court just kicked out the Prime Minister saying

Nawaz Sharif failed to declare his un-withdrawn salary of AED 10,000 dirhams from Capital FZE in his 2013 nomination papers. That was the only ground taken by the Supreme Court for disqualifying an elected prime minister…

So we are back to the undeclared dirhams (some three hundred thousand rupees, give or take). What the judges have said is this: you were owed ten thousand dirhams. The fact you did not collect them is irrelevant. They were “a receivable” and “receivables” are assets

There was a bunch of other stuff going on that they wanted to get him for but that’s all they could get him on.

Nobody tell Roberts about that precedent or we’re fucked.

NYC is busy spending tax money on shit they’re not supposed to be doing, like kicking homeless people out of the subway when the mayor goes by, so they can’t actually keep the subways running, so they’re calling on Patriots To Help. De Blasio called on the state to fix the problem, the state is calling on Teh Peepul to do it.

Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has asked the private sector to help foot the bill to fix the subway in New York City. From New York Daily News:

“We have to change our attitude. This is our MTA [Metropolitan Transportation Authority], right? This is our transit system,” Cuomo told members of the Association for a Better New York as he stood beneath a jumbo screen that flashed the words “We must change our attitude: OUR MTA.”

“There has to be an air of civic engagement and participation, investment in this system.”

I have to admit, I’m fer it. I hope they make it mandatory. NYers keep electing these feckless assholes, let them deal with the consequences.

What’s the most awesome thing that could happen to a 10-year-old boy?

The Natural History Museum has admitted one of its dinosaurs was incorrectly labelled after a 10-year-old boy spotted the error.

Awesome.

Which leads to this excellent question

Since nobody answered it, does anybody here have any idea?

  1. Silas Marner says:

Regarding the dead body question: My daughter, an architect, designed a remodeling plan for a beachfront house on Lake Michigan that required excavation. When human remains were discovered, police were called, and it was determined that the DB was REALLY old. I half expected some local tribal group to attempt to have the site declared untouchable hallowed ground or somesuch, but there was very little interest. I think generations of intermarriage have completely assimilated the native population.
I never found out what happened to the bones.

  2. Paco says:

“Embattled Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has avoided facing any media…”

Pretty funny. I think she could walk down the street wearing a sandwich board that says “Stop me and ask me about the Pakistani con man who handled my IT and who I kept on my payroll until the day he was arrested ” and the press wouldn’t give a damn.

  3. veeshir says:

Could you give me the location for that beach house? I try to avoid stuff built on old Indian burial grounds.

    Debbie Wasserman Who?
Just practicing for if I decide to get a job in Minitrue.
