Jebus, is there nothing else going on in America besides all the Democrats being revealed as the sexual predators they are? I’m trying to avoid it, but whenever I read anything, listen to the news or watch TV news it’s all Democrats and their sexual predations. With people trying to blame it on Trump, which is fucking hilarious.

Now we have Garrison Keillor.

Garrison fucking Keillor? Seriously? That one made me laugh almost as much as Matt Lauer.

The hilarity of Matt Lauer being OUTED!!!!!! is just too funny. Why, it’s too bad there wasn’t anybody near him all those years whose job it was to report news! Maybe they could have told us of him or of the various Congresscritters who are being OUTED!!!!!!, all of them with the de rigueur “We all knew about that.”

You know who all this revealing of Democrats’ sexual predation and subsequent defenses by our betters helps? Roy Moore, that’s who.

Speaking of fakenewswers who lie, CNN! (and the Hill!)

President Trump’s top spokeswoman celebrated news Tuesday that CNN would be boycotting the White House Christmas party this year.

“Christmas comes early! Finally, good news from @CNN,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted.

Bwahahahahahhahaha. CNN tries to troll Trump, CNN look like fools. Film at… whenever you feel like watching CNN I guess.

 

Can you sell Mom n’ Pop businesses short, like stocks, expecting them to go down in value?

A controversial bill is currently working its way through  (Philadelphia) city hall designed to regulate ‘stop and go’ liquor stores. One part of the bill would force business owners to take down bulletproof glass inside their stores.

They don’t put that very expensive, bullet-proof glass up for a fashion statement.

I can answer this question

 But at what cost to their safety?

Lots of dead convenience and liquor store employees. Followed by lots of the owners leaving and losing their shirts as their formerly barely-profitable businesses go to $0 value so they can’t be sold.

Oh, and with the lots of shootings at those places, at least a few bad guys will be killed too. So it’ll only mostly be bad.

 

I Wuz Wrong!

The convicted Croatian war criminal Slobodan Praljak has died after taking poison in court in The Hague.

The Hague isn’t totally useless!!!!! They actually managed to get at least one murderous asshole dead. So….. 1 dead, a billion walking free or dead from old age as their “trials” and “appeals” ground on for decades.

 

That’s it. I keep trying to tube to find some stuff to post but it’s all stupid, all the time. The Norks having the capability to hit the US is sorta scary, but we won’t have to worry about that until China is ready for their war, and I’m hoping they’re not ready yet.

I know, hope in one hand, jerk off in the other and see which gets sticky first, but still….

 

Read The Sea People, latest in the Dies the Fire series.

I really liked the first three books, Dies the Fire, The Protector’s War and A Meeting at Corvallis. They were very darn good. And very darn good for Stirling is very darn good indeed.

The next part of the series, with the kids of the originals, started getting too mystical for me but he’s such a good writer, and the books were excellent, so I kept reading.

After The Given Sacrifice, we’re on to the grandkids or great grandkids of the original folks, and now it’s all fantasy and quests and a plethora of magical swords. Seriously, every time you turn around there’s another one. Two good ones, so far, and some bad ones.

The Desert and the Blade was very good, the one after that pretty much sucked. He over-describes things, I accept that, but that book had too many 3-page descriptions of meals and a shitload of pages dedicated to describing Ranger flets, which have already been adequately described in previous books. It could have been about 20 pages long and we wouldn’t have missed very much.

The last one, The Sea People, was pretty good but I’m done with it. It was all magical swords and spirit voyages and shit.

I don’t read fantasy books much, I know lots of sci-fi is basically fantasy books with blasters instead of magic swords, but I do try to stick to hard sci-fi and stay away from deus ex machina stuff, like Star Trek TNG ‘inverting the subspace particle’ field to fix every damn thing or Q coming in and it was all a joke.

I saw an ad for the beginning of a new series about alternate history of WWI, hopefully it’s as good as other Stirling books.
