What is “Green Science“? (pdf warning)

That link compares various “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!” scenarios through the years to global warmmongering, starting with Malthus and working their way past Silent Spring, the ozone hole, electrical wires killing children and now cell phone towers KILLING US ALL!!!!!

It’s kind of long but worth it for the hilarity of all the previous, “What are you, anti-science?” religious sects over the centuries.

Saw it at PJ Media somewhere but lost the link and I decided a couple days ago to stop wading through their “sign up for our email spam” popups so I don’t feel like trying to find it again.

If PJ media wants to jerk me around to see their stuff, I just won’t look anymore. It’s too bad, I liked some of the blogs there, especially Vodkapundit. Eh, kay Sarah, Sarah.

That’s all about Teh Creepy.  It’s about one step from “Big Brother”. Think that’s hyperbole?

That FEMA page is titled thusly

TROPICAL STORM IRENE: Overview of Federal Family’s Preparations and Response (emphasis mine V)

Okay, I’m officially creeped out.

As is Michele Malkin (who linked it) and Doug Ross (who linked her)

American Thinker reviews non-thinker

Posted: August 30, 2011 by veeshir in Obama's Fault

When I re-read some of my posts it takes me a while to figure out what the hell I meant so I’m hardly one to talk, but I’m not POTUS and I admit that when I write I assume people know what I’m thinking.

When American Thinker reads some Obama writing they are even more baffled than you reading some of my drunk-blogging.

Read the whole thing, but I would like to touch on this. The article they’re talking about is Obama writing in response to a Mr. Chen saying that Affirmative Action will stigmatize the people it is supposed to be helping. Obama writes this

I would therefore agree with the suggestion that in the future, our concern in this area ia [sic] most appropriately directed at any employer who would even insinuate that someone with Mr. Chen’s extraordinary record of academic success might be somehow unqualified for work in a corporate law firm, or that such success might be somehow undeserved.

As nearly as I can understand that, Obama is saying, “Oh yeah, well maybe your good grades will stigmatize you!

He always has to attack someone. It’s his nature.

Via iOwnTheWorld (they don’t) who have more thoughts on his writing.

Is he shooting for Carter II?

Posted: August 29, 2011 by veeshir in FAIL, Obama's Fault

So Jimmy Carter did what he could to eliminate our “human intelligence” assets.

Now.under Obama, we have the wikileaks deal where we’re about to have a bunch of folks killed and nobody is going to want to spy for us for fear of us releasing their names.

It’s a dangerous world and we’re going to be dependent on our allies, who Obama has been systematically fucking over, for intelligence.

Well fuck.

Saw it at Ace’s.

This is my favorite hurricane reporter vid.

I just love the indignation of this fool as he gets all angry about people going out into a hurricane, as he stands out in a hurricane.

My one problem is the title. They’re not “streakers”. Geez, did Ray Stevens live in vain?

Republicans not welcome…

Posted: August 29, 2011 by chad98036 in Uncategorized

At the Wausau Wisconsin Labor Day Parade.

Organizers of the Labor Day parade in Wausau say Republican lawmakers aren’t welcome in this year’s event.

The Marathon County Central Labor Council sponsors the Sept. 5 parade. The council includes about 30 local unions from the Marathon County area.

Ah, tolerance for opposing viewpoints.  That’s what I like to see.

Oh, shit. I guess I shouldn’t have majored in Literature in English, then.

Anyway, I’ve been reading Dearly Devoted Dexter (the second in the series) and it’s one of the most entertaining crime novels I’ve read in a long time. If you’re not familiar with the books or the Showtime series based on them…

***SPOILER ALERT***

…Dexter is a serial killer who only preys on other killers.

Now, the thing is that the author, Jeff Lindsay, has created a character who constantly questions his very humanity and acknowledges that he is, at heart, a fucking monster who loves nothing better than killing people. The thing is, though, Dexter is really witty and likable. You find yourself going, “yeah, he has a point.” And the problem is that Dexter is often right, even though he admits that he’s less than human. It’s disturbing, but it draws you in.

The Showtime version is good (I’ve only seen the first couple of seasons) but the books are very well written.

Thanks to Stoaty

Joseph Lozito is, apparently, not a man you want to fuck with. Seriously.
