You think we are fucking stupid? You think that our opposition to confiscatory measures under the guise of “environmentalism” is worthy of scorn and “reeducation”? You think that opposition to measures that would reduce our prosperity and level of comfort just to appease some bogus science is mockworthy? And do you think you are so fucking smart that it is a good thing for us to reduce our ability to face the growing Asian economies, who don’t give a fresh fuck about the planet? If so, then dieselfuck your soul with the carbon footprint my snowplow belches out after digging out from the “global warming” falling on my driveway as I write.
No, John Holdren. Those opposed to your plans do not need education, for they have been educated enough. They have been educated at the Academy of Real Fucking Life, where they learn the hard way that anything that will limit growth should be whorefucked without payment and left in the alleyway. Those who you so arrogantly dismiss as “uneducated” have generally had to fucking meet payrolls and ledger sheets, and they see where we hobble ourselves to the fuckpole of fuckitude and gaiagoatse while others don’t. And, Mr. Holdren, those of us who have had to live under “global Warming” and the idiocy you and your cohorts have foisted upon us realize more than ever that you are so full of fuckfailure, failjizz shoots out of your socketfucked by reality eyeballs.
Mr. Holdren, fuck you with Adam Smith’s invisible hand as it hutchfucks you with the flying fuckstick of freedom. You have endorsed some of the most ghoulish ideas out there, content to destroy lives in pursuit of some dystopian fuckfarm ruled by you and your ilk. You have done what you could to ruin our way of life. And you have attempted to force American productivity and awesomeness to walk the plank and fall into the sea of despair. But I will not tolerate that. I will not support your viciously vile volksfucking you wish to apply to us. So fuck you and your jibba jabba. Fuck you and your views. Not much going on, Egypt is still going on but nobody knows what the hell it is that’s going on. Ditto Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan and Yemen. I’m not very optimistic about any of those situations, but I’m not optimistic about much these days. Just cuz I think it’s funny doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s endy.
I read a lot,I’ve read probably 3 books a week since I was 7, so it’s hard to keep up with new books, plus, I like to re-read good books. I re-re-re-re…read some good books, I’ve probably read “Stranger in a Strange Land” maybe 20 times. Certainly more than 10, starting when I was about 10 when a hippy teacher at my Catholic School gave it to me when I was in 4th grade. It’s funny, that was like a bible for hippies but it’s probably why I’ve been conservative my whole life. They all wanted to be Valentine Michael Smith, I wanted to be Jubal Harshaw. It’s easy to be a love-everybody and always turn the other cheek type when you’re a superman. I don’t speak Martian so I just have to muddle along.
Right now I’m re-reading “Code of the Lifemaker” by James Hogan.
Hogan is hit and miss, sorta like Orson Scott Card. Some books are fantastic, some are so-so, some are just not very good. His really good ones are this one, “The Two Faces of Tomorrow” where we’re afraid of Skynet so we build it on an orbiting colony and “Bug Park” where we’re making nan0-bots. I haven’t read that one in years, I think I lent it to someone and never got it back.
His one constant is that he’s very optimistic, he thinks we’ll always work everything out and birds will sing and the world will become a wonderful place.I’m not quite as optimistic.

A kid in Jersey is in deep shit for dropping a deuce into a coffee cup and bringing said cup into class during a midterm test. Supposedly, this eruption caused some disruption. My only question is, if this was in Jersey, how could they tell when the kid took the lid of his Cup-O-Feces?

The American government secretly backed leading figures behind the Egyptian uprising who have been planning “regime change” for the past three years, The Daily Telegraph has learned.
When I saw that yesterday, I thought it seemed awfully conveeeenient[/churchlady], it appeared to be a way to say, “Look, Obama is helping!”
Especially given this from the Puff Hos linked at Gateway Pundit.
In its first year, the Obama administration cut funding for democracy and governance programming in Egypt by more than half, from $50 million in 2008 to $20 million in 2009 (Congress later appropriated another $5 million). The level of funding for civil society programs and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) was cut disproportionately, from $32 million to only $7 million.
Now that’s what I expect from the man who sided with the thugs every time or at best told both sides to “tone it down”. Like in Iran, where the gov’t was shooting people and the people were trying not to be shot and Obama said that they both needed to step back.
I don’t know what’s happening, but I can’t help but think Egypt is fucked.
On the one hand, they have El Baradei who’s a tool of the Iranians, as can be seen in how he handled any objections to their “Let’s kill the Jews” nukular program.
On the other hand, they have the new VP who was the head of the secret police. That’s like if Beria succeeded Stalin. Sort of an out of the fire into the acid bath sort of deal.
