So nobody feels like blogging, I can understand why. All the shit we’ve been talking about for years is becoming too obvious for even our social, political, intellectual and moral betters to ignore.

Did the semi-kinetic action to kill/degrade/annoy ISIS end? The reason I ask is because ISIS is taking Kirkuk.

It wasn’t a p-shop. It was real. I was worried I’d have to use the same hipster-oriented one she used but fortunately, the site is chock full of teh funny. .

It’s Doubleplusundead!

For those of you too smart to watch the SOTU last night, I surely hope you read Stephen Green’s Drunkblogging.

Biden and Boehner, it is rumored, have a standing bet on which one looks most like their replica at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum, assuming either one actually had one.

Every time, it’s a tie.

Making political speeches palatable since…uhhh…I don’t know, probably around 2002 or so.

Holy moly, did he claim to have cut the deficit again?

He does it every time and every time it’s an astounding lie ($1 trillion+/year deficit added to our debt), and every time nobody spends much time in pointing that out. Am I the only one who has a problem with that?

As an aside, scenes from my porch.

I live in a cheap place, the spot where I live has decent people, all 50+, single men who want the world to fuck off, the front apartments are more diverse. There’re the two 50+ guys who are hating life, the basset hound owner (barooooooooooo), the married tweaker couples and, of course, the cops. I don’t know any of them except one guy, I avoid the others.

So I overheard one of the tweaker women from up front, she had a kid taken from her years ago and just had her 3 year old almost 1 year old taken from her because, meth. She’s said before that she’s just wants to be a fuck-machine and hates having kids.

So I heard her on the phone, she wants her kids back, who she often calls stupid fucking bitches as she’s screaming at them, because she doesn’t get social security anymore and her kids are her income. She related how she’s been getting disability since she was 13 because she can’t emotionally handle other people. That’s when she went inside. I wish she had done so about 5 minutes earlier. I really didn’t want to hear that conversation, I sincerely hope she doesn’t get those poor kids back. The 3 year old, when she was two, was angry and cussed like a Moron. It was depressing to see.

Jebus, Shep Smith has me defending a NY Times asshole who wrote about The Backlash Against The Muslims (that always seems to hit the Jews).

So the NY Times tool said, “We need to be careful…” and a little while later Shep attacks him for that, even though Shep said, “We are careful here” (obviously meaning Shep’s careful).

So Shep wants to know why the guy attacked him, even though the idiot from the Times was obviously not attacking Shep, but Western Civilization.

So in other words, birds of a feather piss on each other when they flock together.

A couple other things going on.

In France, Le Pen’s “Far Right” (read, admit aloud they’re not thrilled with allowing in more non-assimilating Muslims) Party won the last election.

So the French bein pensants are having a Unity Day,

Just a day after the Charlie Hebdo shooting left 12 dead and had politicians calling for the country to unite, a row between politicians broke out after the National Front were not invited to take part in Sunday’s rally for “national unity” in Paris.

 

Eh, it’s obviously only unity for those thinking bien thoughts.

Hmmmm, what do Europeans do best? Kill the other.

Just because we’ve kept them from their favorite pasttime for the last 70 years doesn’t mean they’re done doing it.

The French, in particular, can be very vicious. They don’t care about all the crap they carp at America about when they’re doing it.

Sure they’ve put up with the car-b-ques because, eh, it’s just a few cars. But… they can’t have savages shooting up and taking hostage Frenchmen (white Frenchmen).

The French imported them to do the scutwork white Frenchmen don’t want to do, those “youths” are 3rd or 4th generation Frenchmen but are not accounted as such by the real French so they’re easily found in their ghettos…banlieues.

It’s going to be interesting to be Muslim in France this year.

Hours after 24 Republicans voted against Boehner, GOP leaders removed two members from a key committee. By late Tuesday, Reps. Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent, both of Florida, were stripped from the powerful House Rules Committee…

I can truthfully say I knew it was coming, Establishment Pricks are nothing if not venal and vindictive assholes.

I love this bit.

“It’s outrageous,” Gohmert told the Washington Examiner. “I thought maybe we were actually going to be able to work together, but if people are going to be punished for representing their district, there is another big fight about to happen.”

As Boehner and McConnell are talking about working with the people who were just trounced in an election they’re working against the people who won it.

I haven’t seen any speculation, but the fact that so many Dems missed the vote means that more votes were needed to defeat Boehner, did Nancy Pelosi just work with Boehner to defeat the GOP?

All signs point to yes!/magic 8-ball.

The Establishment pricks are pissed off at the people they ostensibly represent.

They know better than we, and just because more than $1 trillion/year deficit is utterly unsustainable doesn’t mean they have to change anything, it means we need to shut up.

I am more sure that pretty soon we’ll have the We’re Better and Smarter Than You Party, made up of the establishment pricks in both parties and at least a conservative party.  I do see them (added: The Establishment Pricks) calling it the Unity Party, ala Pournelle’s CoDominium’s world.

All the Establishment Pricks at least mouth the platitudes leftists like so they might not split off a lefty party but I just can’t see conservatives continuing supporting assholes who so obviously feel nothing but contempt for them.

All of which is just a run-up to the takeaway of this post: I have too much pride and conviction to be a RINO. And yet, that’s where my position as a constitutionalist and classical liberal has left me.

So rather than be a hypocrite, or a fringe embarrassment, I will just say this: sayonara, national GOP. You don’t need me anyway, so you’ll take it as no real unkindness if I say I’m just not into you anymore. Now get dressed and take off. Your money’s on the dresser.

Not sure who, but someone just voted for Senator Rand Paul for Speaker of the House.

He’s my hero not because I want Rand Paul for Speaker (although Ron Paul would be fan-farging-tastic), but because I want to gum up the works.

I’m all for throwing sand in the gears, anything to get Congress screaching to a halt is okay by me.

Seriously, an Army 1st Sgt was so upset by an intertubes chat room that she ran to an officer to complain about her hurt feelings and got an Army Commendation Medal for it.

 

Now, if long ago when they were opening up the military to women (non WAVE/WAC edition), and I told someone that they would be handing out medals to women who run to an officer because they are upset about mean things being said to her, well, I would have been called all manner of names.
