Meet Presumptive Vice President Elect Paul Ryan

Paul Ryan. Deficit hunter.

I do think this is an excellent choice because we must have the discussion about entitlements and fiscal responsibility now. The end of the road is here and it’s time to stop kicking the can.

Plus, admit it, the thought of Ryan and Biden debating makes you laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh.

The math dork hotassery doesn’t hurt either.

I cannot believe I am excited about voting for a ticket that has Mitt Freaking Romney on it.

Excellent choice of pic. I saw this earlier today and wondered why I hadn’t seen it before b/c of the extreme awesomeness.

Obviously I was for Jindal, but Ryan is a very solid pick and I am not in the least disappointed.

    +1

“Math dork hotassery” IS the point.

…I may not quite go to the point of “excited”, but hugely approve? – You betcha.

  3. Mob says:

This is a huge gamble. I don’t know if I’m convinced that the country is ready to make the hard decisions necessary for entitlement reform.

Having said that, I don’t think there’s a better person than Ryan to make that argument at this point in time.

Does this mean I can’t root for the Meteor anymore?

  4. I think Ryan is a great choice, but that picture made me think of my late uncle shooting through 55 gallon barrels of sand with his compound bow. I’m pretty sure that office walls are less sturdy than steel drums.

  5. DejahThoris says:

There should be more books n’ weapons hotassery on this blog, cuz that’s dead sexy!

  6. wintersetruss says:

Romney may be somewhat uninspiring, but his pick of Ryan shows that he’s willing to have an adult conversation about debt and our future. I may think that a good portion of the electorate are morons who don’t understand the nature of our debt, but I cannot sacrifice good policy for an electoral dog & pony show.

It’s like McCain picking Palin: I like Romney better than McCain, so this pick makes me much happier than I was in August of ’08, even though I’m still a big Palin fan. Ryan’s the right man in the right place at the right time. Good luck to him.

  7. Dr Spank says:

Paul Ryan, silencing his critics the olde fashioned way, with an arrow to the heart.

  8. Scott Jensen says:

Hey – is he about to shoot an arrow into the United States flag? 🙂

  9. IllTemperedCur says:

    In before the longbows argument…….

    🙂

  10. xbradtc says:

How’s he gonna get the True Conservative Moron vote without a crossbow?

  11. Dave in San Diego says:

Ryan is the perfect choice. Now it’s a race. And I hope Ryan brings the explosive-tipped arrow heads with him to Iowa. Take out a few hay bales and hecklers.

  12. Rich K says:

The Bestest part is we dont have any more Freakin War heroes on the ticket, crippled or pathelogical. Not that there is anything wrong with that.My Dad was a Marine.

  13. Napoleon Dynamite says:

Yeah, so okay…so he’s got like bowhunting skills. But what about his nun-chuck skills and computer hacking skills. Huh? What about those?

Americans only want VPs with skills.

  14. coronagold says:

Ryan’s cool enough to own steampunk armor. Now show the right half of that pic that shows Slow Joe smiling with an apple on his head.
