    Having dealt with and been around Blue hats, I feel sorry for them if they tried it. after the civilians finished with them the US Army would only have to bring a broom and dump truck or two haul off what was left. The most incompetent, backwards, poorly led force in the world outside of the Middle east.

    If you read the comments at the article a large, deluded, portion of the readers there think that the US Military would be incredibly easy to roll over and that every armed person in America would just quake in fear and surrender.

    The comic aspects are not lost on me. But this hints at the amazing misunderstanding of reality that is not uncommon in Europe (and even in some of North America) that considers the UN as the really Big Guys, the Important People, the Ultimate Force. There is this vague idea that they should be the most powerful; that because they include all countries and can tell them what to do that they are this powerful; and that the US and other paper tigers are just playing with fire until the UN gets mad enough, and then WATCH OUT.

    People really think this. Not so many, but a few believe it entirely and others believe it partially.

    from which they say 32,000 americans each year die from guns.
    That includes 19,000 suicides.

    The british have a lower rate of murder because they do not classify a death as being murder unless someone is convicted of committing it. Unsolved homicides, or murder-suicides with no surviving perpetrator, are not counted as murders. Damn lies and statistics.
