Transparently Transparent

At Ace’s we see the maker of the most horrible films of all time (no, not Ishtar) has been arrested. For “parole violations” (is that a new euphemism for “can be made a scapegoat by Obama?).

Why are he and his sycophants and thugs going after this guy so hard? Because if it was his fault it’s not al Quaeda’s.

It has all the hallmarks of an al Qaeda operation, including a way to hit first responders.

But Obama has killed al Qaeda, he personally strangled Osama and threw his body out the helicopter over the ocean, so therefore al Qaeda couldn’t have done it.

He needs to make us think he’s done something good, so Minitrue has to help him pretend it wasn’t al Qaeda, it was a spontaneous protest over some youtube movie.

Minitrue can’t talk about the economy, can’t talk about foreign policy, they’re reduced to attacking Romney for asking for extra dressing for his salad (taking it from the less fortunate) and hiding al Qaeda attacks in Benghazi.

About my last post, the Iowahawk link was old, I forget where I saw it but it was from 2006. I didn’t realize even though I had read it back then, I just assumed it was another in the series. Oh well, it was still funny.

I see the regular refs are back starting tonight. Look for egregious mistakes by them, they need the preseason to get into the groove too. I’m just wondering how it’ll be covered. I mean, how can ESPN now admit that the regular refs aren’t all that good. Certainly not enough better for all the angst I’ve seen this week. The worst part? The Giants are going to be in Philly just in time for the regular dick-sucking to commence. I also feel sorry for the Bears, they’re playing the Cowboys and what with the general dick-sucking of the Cowboys, the dick-beating of the Bears and the lack of practice by the regular refs, I look forward to one poorly officiated game where the Bears have little or no chance.

I dunno that I’d hang my hat on this Nakoula cat. He actually looks like a pretty damned shady character. Not saying that they’re not just going gangbusters after him because he embarrassed the Big 0, cause they clearly are. Just that he’s no paragon of truth, justice, and the American way either.

The preliminary bail hearing began with Segal asking the defendant — dressed in gray slacks and a white and yellow striped T-shirt, with handcuffs and chain around his waist — what his true name was.

    “Mark Basseley Yousseff,” he replied.

The judge then asked again, what is your name?
    Bounty placed on anti-Islam filmmaker
    Understanding Islam and Mideast protests
Muslims mad at more than the movie?

“Mark Basseley,” he said this time, again without spelling the name out.

The lawyer for the suspect, who has used at least 17 false names, according to court documents, but is mostly referred to as Nakoula, then argued for $10,000 bail.

Dugdale pointed to a probation report citing eight allegations in which Nakoula had allegedly violated his probation. One of those was a requirement not to use aliases without permission from his probation officer, something the prosecutor said Nakoula did on at least three instances: during his fraud case, when he tried to get a passport in 2011, and during the making of the film. Dugdale said Nakoula had deceived the cast of the film, as well as his probation officers.

Read the whole thing (yeah, yeah, it’s CNN, but while I don’t trust em to be fair, the who what when and where is pretty much quotes) here:

I didn’t mean to say he was my hero, just that what’s going on is obviously in response to Obama going after him for his video.

It’s what happens in third world countries and Chicago, not America.
Or at least, not America before the age of Obama. Just ask Joe the Plumber who had the unmitigated gall to ask Obama a question that Obama should have expected and yet couldn’t answer without stepping in it, and for that Joe can never be forgiven.

I guess what I meant is that while I acknowledge that they’re only hot and heavy after this guy because he had the audacity to do something that made our SCOAMF look bad, it doesn’t look like they trumped up some charges to put him away. He probably needed to be hauled in for violating his parole… but so did a thousand other guys that were brought in that we didn’t hear about.

Oh, and on the refs? No bet that they’ll blow a major call this weekend. That’s a lock. I think it might take till next week or week after for them to ruin a game with a bad call, though. People seem to have forgotten we mocked these dudes for shitty calls just about weekly before the lockout. They’re not likely to have been to optometrists in the meantime.

    • MikeD says:

And for the record… I called it

      • Veeshir says:

They almost cost the Cards the game, Fitzgerald was knocked down in the endzone, no call, and the pass picked. Instead of them up by 14, the game became tied.
The Jets were hosed on replay early in the game, you could see the ball hit the ground, but that didn’t matter as they were crushed.
There were more, but the announcers were too busy wiping the ref-jizz off their chins to mention it.
