Are we seeing the beginning of a super-villain not named Trump?

It all started innocently in a way it was hard to be against with swarms of insects attacking the NY Yankees in 2007. We laughed.

In 2010 there were further warnings

Rescue crews were using fire hoses to douse an angry swarm of bees after a fatal crash

But we ignored them.

I think this year is going to be the year we see our first super-villain!

More baseball swarmings!

La Guardia swarmed with mosquitos!

Flying, swarming cockaroaches!

Upstate NY gets swarmed!

Lest we think it’s just a NY phenomena

So why are former Brit colonies being attacked? I mean, we haven’t heard about Australia but I’d say because it’s hard to introduce a swarm of anything worse than Australia already has.

Chris Adriaansen, director of the Australian Plague Locust Commission, identified the insect as a grasshopper species.

“They’re not a locust species, they’re a grasshopper species,” he said.

Yawn. Get back to me when you can whop up a plague of locusts.

…unlike the Australian plague locusts which feed on grass species and grain crops.

Actually, plagues of locusts are sorta boring there too.

“When they’re in numbers obviously they can create a level of damage but generally the population will drop back reasonably quickly, so the damage won’t persist for any great length of time,” he said…

Mr Adriannsen said there was no risk of these particular insects in Alice Springs migrating to southern or eastern farms.

They barely even noticed it.

That must have pissed off our super-villain.

What we cannot ignore though is that our world is under attack by an insect controlling super-villain!

We have to destroy our economy and way of life to combat thi..oh wait, that’s global worming.

How do you fight insect super-villains?
