I could no longer hear Mr. Horowitz speaking and so did not even hear his injection of Hezbollah’s credo of “rounding up” Jews in his last tangent.  I could no longer contain my anger at being implicitly and improperly labeled a terrorist, an anti-Semite, and a proponent of genocide. The answer I was coerced into giving grossly misrepresented my beliefs and ideologies.

The funniest part? She thinks this makes it all better.

Phoenixians are going to get it good and hard. They got rid of Sheriff Joe and I have a feeling they’re going to discover there are worse things than a sheriff who enforces the laws.

In China, when people go to the city to work in the factories they’re not allowed to bring their kid so the kids have to stay back in the village and work there. A Democratic Federal Election Commission official who pushed to regulate the internet and has been absent from public meetings for months is resigning, according to an announcement.

Ann Ravel, who wanted to regulate political speech on the internet from websites such as the Drudge Report, announced Sunday that she is stepping down from her post.

Stopping fuckheads like her from regulating political speech is the whole fucking reason we have free speech in the 1st amendment.

Which reminds me of why it’s so infuriatingly funny that anti-1st amendment asshole John McCain is calling out Trump for being against the 1st amendment (free press).

 

Let’s end on dichotomy.

Think about how we felt 4 months ago. We were waiting for our gov’t go attack us, not metaphorically but physically. We were in year 8 of Recovery Summer that only helped those connected. The GOP was busily doing Failure Theater while attacking me barely less than they were attacking Trump. It was a dark and stormy time.

Then, we woke up on 11/9 and it was different. The Sun was brighter, the veal tastier, tears of leftists saltier. Like night and day.

It was different for some.

On the morning of November 9, 2016, America’s elite—its talking and deciding classes—woke up to a country they did not know. To most privileged and well-educated Americans, especially those living in its bicoastal bastions, the election of Donald Trump had been a thing almost impossible even to imagine. What sort of country would go and elect someone like Trump as president? Certainly not one they were familiar with, or understood anything about.

That just gave me a huge schadenboner.

Now that those signals are no longer possible to ignore, it is high time for experts and intellectuals to reacquaint themselves with the country in which they live and to begin the task of describing what has befallen the country in which we have lived since the dawn of the new century.
